Footy media , love’m or hate’ m ?

On Footy Classified, it's amazing how Cornhead the Fruitcake keeps insisting he's right about the Taz and Hop failure. Mentality of a 5 year old gets a job like this. Even Pepper Scott as a Bummers coach gets a seat on the panel to discuss general topics.

Blicavs gets knee on ribs..... NO MORE KNEES IN THE RUCK..... of course its Chris Scott. Mark my words peeps. 10 years, Australian Footy will look like some form of tag based keepings off. No tackling is coming, no contact is coming.

One of the worst things in recent times is the advent of the AFL's own media arm shaping outcomes through opinion based propaganda to suit their agendas. No way on the planet I'd ever pay for it if they start charging for content which no doubt is their endgame.

Today on front page of the paper is loveable Cameron bumping an umpire to the ground and it is somewhat a funny event.
Nothing to see here.
Imagine for one moment if that had been Lynch, the media would be calling for the death penalty.
As usual one rule for some teams and another for the Tigers.
Also today, the paper is full of the knee in the ruck by Scott and at the same time an article saying Dimmas press conference was disjointed.
No wonder we mere Tiger members and supporters are sick to death of the media and commentators bagging Richmond and extolling the virtues of Geelong.

Geelong coach Chris Scott has hit out at the AFL for failing to properly address “dangerous” actions in ruck contests after Mark Blicavs was injured by an errant knee.
Blicavs was running in to compete in a centre bounce ruck contest against Hawthorn’s Lloyd Meek during the first quarter of their Easter Monday clash when Meek raised his left knee.

Blicavs went down holding the right side of his ribcage and came from the field for a significant period of time before being cleared to return by medical staff.

This is the result of Cameron smashing into umpire yesterday.
Once again, nothing to see here.

No hard feelings between ump and Jezza after wild celebration clash

Jeremy Cameron collides with an umpire after his hyped-up goal celebration goes wrong

Scott shud be fined for questioning and degrading umpires. He said something like " there were two umpires there - how cud they have missed it"
Thats a finable comment..... (mind u I believe a free kick was paid and advantage given so he flog got it wrong"

Par for the course from Salty.
Always gets away with using his official presser to comment on issues & pushing his agendas (MRO incidents, ground condition etc.) but rarely been criticised by the AFL media or reprimanded by AFL house for doing so.
It's quite something.

What a loathsome piece of sh#25t Barrett is. Here’s a man that wears many hats; the biased, opinionated voice of the AFL on their website who is paid to defend and justify the obvious failures of the AFL.

Then he pops up on a variety of football shows pushing he’s agenda of a so-called football expert who doesn’t even hide his contempt for the RFC and all of its recent achievements. A man with the personality of a pot-plant who is cringe worthy and whose opinions are not only wrong. They are an embarrassment.

It’s very convenient and certainly deliberate, that the AFL would employ such an amiable and accommodating lapdog as him.

One of the biggest problems encountered in AFL football today are the AFL apologists masquerading as journalists on the AFL payroll. One would hope a new and transparent CEO would drain the current media cesspool and engage voices that talk intelligently about football and the games without letting their egos and biases getting in the way of impartial and sensible discussions about the game we love, and the AFL administration. Who should never be above criticism.

Agree on Kingy and Sam Edmund. Sam would be a better host than that Bummerhead Julian The Stoopid.

Kane Cornes calls us arrogant for not doing anything about the Bont on Saturday when every other time the Bont has played well against someone it’s just that - he played well. But when he plays well against Richmond, it’s only because we are arrogant ….of course.

Plenty of other teams don’t tag or lock into a particular player - like the Bont - but that’s ok he just plays well when that happens. Us = arrogant however.
