Goodbye Mabior Chol

Uncompetitive tonight. Assume he would have been on notice after last week, so should be dropped on the back of that non-effort.

Gone back to spectating, shame , because there is no doubt he has some ability and capable of adding something different

Needs a spell

Agree, Zipps. Rest him.
It's time for CCJ to be given a burst of games if he's fit.
Chol has been given his share of chances this season.
Has shown glimpses at times and certainly has some exquisite skills, but until he improves his attitude, aggression at the ball and have a willingness to compete in the contest then he won't be much of a contributor.

Not sure when Cj got injured, but his injury came out of nowhere.
Did cop an injury at training?
Because he still on the injury list

Mab's is a very frustrating player, his lack of intensity is very annoying.

The injury most likely happened at training because he was in the mix and then all of sudden he isn't available.
Unlucky. He wouldve been good to see against weaker opppstion.

Let's hope it's nothing too concerning and he has a speedy recovery.
We're starting to get to the pointy end of the season, so we may not get to sere CCJ play this season.

Face it guys. Cholly is NOT a ruckman, any more than Tom Lynch is.
It's not too late to train him for a specialist third tall forward role. He can lead well, is evasive and a dead eye *smile* shot at goal. His height is his worst enemy because people see the frame and think ruckman. Think Towner in 2017. I can see Mabs regularly kicking 2or 3 goals from a low possession count. He is a difficult match up because he is tall and a smooth mover.
Expecting him to mix it with the big top liner rucks is far beyond him. We are seeing evidence of this every week as he tries to cope with the physicality of the ruck.
Players like Nank and Soldo thrive on the battle and give us so much more in the packs.

I think you might be right, he doesn't seem physical enough for the way ruck is played at the moment. Clearly talented, but where bet to play him?

Maybe the constant physical pressure of the ruck contributes to the way he fades out of games. Affects his confidence and just leaves him battered.

I can't see him as a pure forward. He will get a tall defender who is stronger than him and be rag-dolled. He's not a great mark, doesn't judge the flight of the ball that well. If it's not ruck, resting forward, I can't see how he fits long-term.

Problem with this is Chol has'nt got the intensity in his footy required to play as a Key Back.

Cant be zoning out when your are a defender.

He has the agility but when youre back in defence pretty much all of your footy requires urgency and multiple efforts.
Yeah, his VFL stints in the backline have been underwhelming.

Officially out of control now.

The RFC as much as we may want them not to be seen as ‘whiners’ have a look at this below.

AFL players shouldn’t have to put up with this or engage with other supporters.

I honestly don't know why players have social media accounts. More trouble than they're worth.

I think I'd prefer to go with Nank and Soldo next week against Nic Nat.

Chol was intimidated by Witts last week, hows he gonna go against Nic Nat.

Nank will only do 40% rucking first game back Id erxpect therefore we cant expose Chol for that long.

Soldo can at least contest NicNat at centre bounces.

Dropped.
Can go from a rooster to a feather duster pretty quickly in this caper.
I love much of what he brings but Mabs won't make it unless the consistency of effort is constant.
