Unfortunately or not it does seem unusual in this day and age, and if it was a superstar from another club we would be debating it here. No idea if anything happened or not but can see why people are asking.

Guys like Cornes, Parrot, Tom Browne, Hutchy have all brought in this “woman’s day” approach to the AFL based on rumours, bs, and crap opinion picecs.

No lets not let this asswipe of the hook. While he might be knit picking he has caused a horrible reaction on social media. The trolls are in full force and it's not nice. There is a marriage break up involved here. Give them space. We are the biggest club in the AFL and should not tolerate this rubbish. RFC should ban all media with him and fans should pressure SEN radio to sack this Richmond hater.

When he was living in Richmond in the late 90's, he would always bag how bad we were. He would laugh when Richmond was brought up.

They are the four horse men of footy journalism, the harbingers of the death of anything worth listening to or reading in relation to the AFL.
In reality all journalism in the Western World is at rock bottom. You have the press becoming cheer squads for various political parties rather than reporting the new impartially. You have the press tryingto create the news rather than just report on it. Unfortunately, without a strong impartial press, you get the type of politicians we have today..... weak, poll watching vote whores!
Journalism is now all about traffic. Advertising $ is gained on the more traffic one has to their websites. Individual journalist get paid on how they attract traffic.
So to get the traffic they need to be first to post and for it to be sensational regardless of the facts behind the story.
And because the journalist no longer check the facts before posting the average punter will jump to conclusions and post immediately. We the average punter really need to take a step back and check for ourselves before reacting. Need to hold them to account or in the case of Cornes not respond or read his crap

Yep. Ted Turner n CNN turned the whole journalism world on it's head when he started doing all that 24 / 7 media reporting. Every other media company got on board the same system n then realised they didn't have enough important or relevant *smile* to keep people interested, so then it simply became a non stop churn fest of *smile*, constantly ANALysing, interpreting and opinionating every wet fart to death.
