Only 1 week for Oleg? I thought he was out until mid season?

Again. He isn’t good enough for our 22 anyway, it doesn’t matter how long he is out for.

Do we have enough injuries yet to be referred to as "brave" by commentators...?

nobody forgot anything

I think no news is bad news

I read somewhere , perhaps on another forum, that this person bumped into Jayden in Bridge road recently, he told him that he planned on being back for the game before the bye

Perhaps Jayden shouldn't get so far ahead of himself and ask Tom Browne?

Riewoldt knee 6-8
Rance knee season
Astbury ankle 1-2
Cotchin hamstring 3-4
Grigg hip indefinite
Graham hamstring 1-2
Short. arm indefinite
Markov knee 1

I think Grigg also has a knee problem. Maybe he won't ever play again and that will be a shame.

I think they said it was originally knee joint, that may be better but now the hip. I think Burge said they aren't sure its related but that suggests to me its the same leg. Thinking the same as you though that he may never play again which is sad.

This is a possibility.

Grigg, Reiwoldt, Cotchin and Rance may call it a day sooner rather than later. Age and injuries are catching up with them.

Grigg....turned 31 last month, April.
Reiwoldt...turns 31 in October.
Cotchin...turned 29 last month, April.
Rance.....turns 30 in October.

It seems to me, anyway, that AFL players who continue on playing into their 30's have been pretty much injury free for most of their careers,

Not all, but most I think.

If I am right then these are big holes to fill.

Suspect the the most likely to retire would be Rance.

Correct me if I am wrong but I think he has given indications in the past that he would not be averse to giving the game away.

Very good points.
But the question needs to be asked, did Hardwick think he would win another flag with the exact same team.
Im still shocked our only key defender coming through is Caithwaite.
Roughhead wouldve been a nice addiction..
Jack will hang around for the next 3 years
Cotchin the same and as far as Rance goes if wants out he should do a ‘Yarran’ and somehow help the club by trading him and then him deciding to retire.

So this week we could be potentially be without arguably best 22 players:

Rance
Cotch
Riewoldt
Rioli
Vlossy
Astbury
Graham
Shorty
Grigg

Not best 22 but Callum Moore now long term ankle.

Oleg should come back from medium term knee injury in VFL this week.

Someone out there seriously p!ssed off the injury gods.

Despite these injuries our VFL side are undefeated and our AFL boys are still ahead of the ledger at 4/3 but looking vulnerable.

The Cliff is getting closer but I won't be bagging the side if they go over, hang on, going by some I should "INJURIES ARE NO EXCUSE ::)"

Just about the worst injury list I have seen for any club in a long time.

Thankfully we have really found some players to fill the void after offloading Miles, Lloyd and Ellis.

Making the 8 this year would be an amazing feat.

Just a question.

Are Rioli/Flossy confirmed outs? Isn't DTLD due back this week?

Ok that's 2 questions! :hihi

2019 is far from over and come September we may have everyone on deck other then Rance, however in a funny way these injuries are making 2019 look like a pre season for 2020 and a reinvention of the list , long way too go however there’s probably half a dozen players who are now looking like taking up spots in the 22 that weren’t there’s 7 weeks a go. Yes our stars are all closer to the end then the start, however the under 22s at the club are showing some great signs
