Kane Cornes

Karen Cornes on his high horse this morning on SEN bagging Jack for being honest about his opinion on the Viney incident. He also mentioned our ‘on and off field incidents’ the past few years. Sent a text through to put him in his place. Glad he read it out.

How about him saying Carlton celebrated too much after winning. And then he stats categorically than Carlton would be a 4 goal better team if Clarkson was coaching them.

He’d be happy too.

More engagements = higher salary.

Just heard him calling for abolition of stand rule ! Hopefully the first crack in the media wall.
And elimination of pre finals bye.

Heard Richo and others in the commentary box calling for the abolition of the stand rule. It’s farcical calling play on almost for a 1/2 inch deviation, a split second after the player has gone back and turned around. Ridiculous.

Regardless of whether the stand rule stays or goes, clubs need certainty. Major list decisions are being made without knowing what the rules will be.

The AFL need to transparent around what their ultimate goals are and allow clubs time to plan their list management and development strategies.

His timing is interesting. Nothing to do with the fact that Richmond won’t play finals this year Kane? The desired outcome has been achieved so now we can get rid of this *smile* rule that was introduced on the eve of the season?

This rule implementation is one of the most corrupt things I have seen in 40 plus years of watching footy. SHocking has destroyed this game.

Absolutely. How are clubs supposed to build a list profile when they don't know what style of footy will be played based on the rules of the game.

Given Scott has the sanctimonious one, Gerard Whateley pushing his wants on SEN and Fox Footy (and this is where the AFL gets its 'voice of the customer' from) then it's fair to say that the stand rule will survive as long as Scott wants it to.

Add to this the fact that his brother is odds on to get Hockins old gig at the AFL then I'm tipping the rules will be whatever Geelong want them to be.

He's been against the rule for a while now.
