Gonna be a long pre-season for Shaw and his list
Wonder how the NMFC board is feeling right now about its decision in appointing Shaw

Might be a sign of the company I keep, however my Facebook feed seems very quiet atm, no mention of all from Roos or Bombers fans

I’m hearing that the Roos are looking at extending Shaw’s contract now

I wonder if they’re wishing they’d actually waited and let someone else present. This is looking like going as well as Uncle Tony’s time at the Pies did.

That is the problem in announcing a caretaker coach as the permanent replacement, especially before the season is over.

The players love him because he lets them run free and try things but they are not fully accountable as they would be under the fulltime coach. So the players win a few games and talk the caretaker up and it becomes this a unstopable fact and their supporters get on board.

And all because Roos succeeded at Sydney.

Nothing against Shaw or even Teague but there is a huge gap between assistant and owning the teams performance. Just look at the pressure Hardwick was under early on. Only the good ones survive the heat.

I didn't know where else to put this but good old Dennis Pagan, now 71, is taking out a horse trainers' licence.

However, he said his horses would be one step ahead of footballers when he starts training.

“Wayne Carey, Jacko the blind miner could have trained him,” Pagan said.

“They (the horses) can’t go out and have a drink and be silly on the nights before races though.

“If I’ve got a bad horse, I don’t think there’s any trainer that can turn cow manure into strawberry jam.”

Read that Tom Papley knocked back North as did Sam Frost. Geez, you know you’re not going well when Sam Frost knocks you back.

Just found out there is an AI enforced word limit on posts at PRE.

Tried typing all the names that have rejected offers from #lolnorf in the last 5 or 6 years. Papely busted the limit.

Got to "Tom Papl" and I got the error message.

"Your post is too long. I see you mentioned #lolnorf in your post. If this is a list of big fish who have rejected #lolnorf please understand my database is only so big. your understanding is appreciated!"

FMD - AI is getting good eh?

Look forward every trade week to seeing who will knock them back next.

Players are putting their hands up to go to the Suns for guaranteed NO SUCCESS, but good weather, party atmosphere, bikini babes and easy games.

#lolNorf cant even offer any of the peripheral distractions

The moment they bailed out of gaming it was the beginning of the end of their destination club era.....!

Players from opposition clubs were queuing up at Kangas Kasino..... where the King gave pokies venue, a whole new meaning!

Snippet from today’s HS in an article about the (outside the salary cap) money Dusty is currently raking by signing premiership memorabilia.

“Martin’s decision to rebuff North Melbourne’s godfather offer in 2017 by staying at Richmond on a seven year contract worth about $9 million has already paid for itself”

Love it!

LOLnorf! They've appointed Ben Amarfio as CEO. The same person who was sacked by Cricket Australia who was infamous there for having his secretary cook him breakfast in full view of the CA office and who believes scandals are good for marketing. Oh and he's also Brayshaw's mate and was the one who got Brayshaw the undeserved job at Seven on the cricket. Can anyone say nepotism.

I moved to North Melbourne a few months ago and after they sacked Scott I thought I might be able to adopt them as a second team. They certainly make themselves hard to like though.

Crumpet for breakfast, in view of head office........won’t be surprised if he brings Carey back to Norf.

Nothing wrong with nice soft n toasty warm crumpet for breakfast. Or any other time of day for that matter, one can even coat them in honey or jam for extra delight.
