North must get more selections right than wrong in this draft.

Its now or never they need to do a full rebuild starting with the kids from the last 2 drafts who are left such as Simpkin, Zurhaar, Larkey, Davies Uniacke., McKay, Xerri and Thomas.

Btrad Scott's legacy.

His brother is going to leave the Cats in the same hole when he goes in a year or 2.

They will be worse.
Who's their Zuurfart, Simpkin or Anderson?
Geelong's kids are Guthrie and Narlke.
That's bottom 4 stuff

Part of the problem is that Hardwick was recruited as a long term coach who was employed to take the club forward. Noble looks like a stop gap not a permanent solution.

DS

They’re probably on a hiding to nothing on that given that Club itself can’t be considered permanent (and rightly so)

Well they are identical twins after all.

Only difference of note is that twin A went to coach a well run club with a premium list n twin B went to coach #lolnorf.

Fagan is making a decent fist of it, but it's a young man's game.

Thanks @LeeToRainesToRoach I'm surprised about Phil Walsh, just don't recall at the time anything being highlighted about his age. Then again I may have not taken much notice.

Just googled John Devine out of curiosity, thinking he was getting on when he coached the cats.... turns out he was only 45ish.... Now I'm the one that feels old!

Great appointment Goose.

Joins the throng of Tasmanian coaches in recent times.

Suspect joining a club with zero expectation is better for your career that a mid table club where that differs.

As Rutten will likely find out.

As a lifelong footy nuffy and long time AFL member, I realize the competition is only as strong as the weakest club.
But...... the ringing in my ears from North supporters laughing at us as the 2015 final ended has not subsided.
They can suffer quite a few more years down in the cellar as far as I'm concerned.

North have a unique opportunity to rebuild from the draft.
Have delisted so many off their list to rebuild a group together.
North can afford to start 2021 season with low numbers.

If I was north, would draft the knowns from this 2020 draft, then leave 3 or more spots on the list to draft in the 2021 mid season draft.
That would see then picking the eyes of the Corona kids from the VFL and equivalent leagues, giving them a jump on the 2022 draft.

If the comp is only as strong as the weakest club - then the AFL is currently only as strong as North
So get rid of them and the comp is automatically better and stronger for it.

Just listening to David Noble speak. .... amongst the first people he thanked was Upwey footy club... Following in the footsteps of Dimma.
I've never liked North and when they appointed Scott. .... well, he's possibly one of the least endearing blokes to have ever coached, my disdain for them achieved new heights.
I reckon he'll be pretty good Noble, rolling with the punches which will no doubt come over the journey.

What does that even mean? 2-3 years to get them into a position where they’re regularly competing in the top 4.

So in 2-3 years they should be in a position to compete in the top 4 ? So what’s that, fifth to eighth?

Or in 2-3 years they should BE in the top 4?

Whichever way you put it, in their current predicament it's totally unrealistic.

Reckon he means yours second point Timmy.
Wow.
Also winning a premiership within that 2-3 years.

No pressure Noble.
None whatsoever.
