'her' by spike jonze. Sharp, beautifully shot, bitter sweet.
Well made and the usual quirky Spike examination of the human condition, but too clever by half for mine, and broke the bounds of believability.

I haven't seen any of jonze's other works but I fell for ‘her’ finding it totally believable. Right now so many people seem to be so completely seduced by cyber technologies that our trajectory towards closer and more intimate cyber human relationships seems inevitable to me …… but then again I fell in love with the female character in ‘resident evil 4’, pc version.

Not sure what you’re referring to when you say it’s too clever by half.

Picked up 'american splendor' for $2 at the local video shop. best buy ever.

Just heard James Garner has passed away at 86.

RIP Rockford.

Remember him well for his role in the film Grand Prix.
He drove the car in the footage as well.

R.I.P. james Garner.

Yes, I read this today.

James Garner actually has another trivial / remote credit to his name.

Some, my vintage, may remember the early Gerry Anderson marionette series 'Stingray', and its lead character 'Troy Tempest'.
('Stingray' was made between 'Fireball XL5' and 'The Thunderbirds'.)
It has been credited that Anderson used Garner as the model for his character Tempest.

"The pilot of Stingray is the square-jawed Captain Troy Tempest (whose Supermarionation puppet was modelled on actor James Garner)."

Saw the Monty Python Reunion film on Thursday night. Excellent!

As well as all the well-known sketches, the highlight was an interaction between Brian Cox and Stephen Hawking, as participants, debating the accuracy of The Galaxy song from The Meaning Of Life. To view Hawking singing The Galaxy Song brought a tear to the eye.

Recommend it to all.

Saw Calvary last night. Whoa!!!

Such a bleak film.

Didn't realise that Irish Catholics hated their priests with such a passion.

Watched. Draft Day withbKevin Costner. I really liked it. I have no idea how realistic it was as clubs were trading picks on DRAFT DAY! Even when a club had their 10 minutes to nominate a player draft deals were being done.

Is this true?

Just heard Richard Kiel aka 'Jaws' of the James Bond era has passed away at 74. Strangely, I thought this happened years ago.

He scared me at 10 years of age while watching The Spy Who Loved Me.

I thought he was in Moonraker... or was he in both?

Saw the NZ Vampire film last weekend.

A comic NZ version of what Twilight and Spinal Tap might be like morphed together.

Made by the same group that did Flight of the Conchords.

Enjoyed it a lot.

Yes, in his time, Jaws set a new level in the tough guy genre.

Liked it when he hooked up with the little spectacle-wearing blonde in Moonraker.
