Enjoyed, Bohemian Rhapsody.

As Molly Meldrum always says "Do yourself a favour"

it was good, but i was disappoiinted there was mininal focus on the last few years of his life. it basically ended at the Live Aid concert, but Freddie Mercury still did a hell of a lot in the 6 years after.

Yeah, for what basically a Wikipedia run down of his life between 1970-1985 it was very very good.

Just loved the Live Aid segment. Went home and watched the original and could barely tell them apart.

I was not a huge Queen fan in the 70s and 80s but the film has reminded me how bloody brilliant they were as songwriters - and of course Freddie as a performer

Yep. I love how he tranced the Live Aid crowd when singing Radio Gaga.

Roma - visually amazing but has an Anthony Miles-like pace so probably only gets cinephiles tumesecent. Will win the Oscar for Best Director, Cinematography and, obviously, foreign. ****

Green Book - a bit cheesy, wholly predictable but still wonderful. Better than Driving Miss Daisy but not quite as good as The Intouchables, both which have similar plots. One to take the missus to. ****1/2

Been on a bit of a blu-ray binge

Jurassic World - Fallen Kingdom - annoying actors, farfetched James Bond-style plot, death of a franchise?
The Meg - dire, too unfunny for what it tries to be, forget it
Dunkirk - well made and authentic but didn't live up to the billing
Fury - good blokey war movie
Hacksaw Ridge - given the full Hollywood treatment, outstanding
The 15:17 To Paris - several stinkers in a row, hate to say it but Clint has officially lost it
USS Indianapolis: Men Of Courage - just OK
Lord Of War - worthwhile
Day Of The Animals - got this for nostalgia's sake, decent 70's creature B movie
The Land That Time Forgot - another nostalgia pick, has aged very badly
Ravenous - surprisingly decent
Inglourious Basterds - farfetched but enjoyable

A few others on deck that will get a run soon

The Predator
Deep Blue Sea 2
T2 Trainspotting
The Shallows
10 Cloverfield Lane
Orca
Grizzly
True Crime

BirdBox - pretty gripping and intense and as a parent creates some interesting thoughts. Sort of worth a watch but in the end the plot just didn’t work for me.

Watched the Black Mirror “choose your own ending “ movie on Netflix.

Interesting for a while but ultimately unfulfilling.

Just finished watching. Enjoyed it for a while but in the end just wanted it to finish.
Dead in a Week (or your money back) is a great little film.

I watch about 100 movies a year, fewer than three of them will ever be animated, but this one was very good. Amy Pascal still hitting nothing but net from downtown.
