Really I thought he was good, but sold an absolute pup with the centre bounces by the umps. When the ball actually went up kind of straight we seemed to win our fair share of the centre clearances, when it went off and outside the circle always seemed to be to the swans advantage. Haven't seen a group of umps bounce the ball so poorly before.
Thought Hickey killed him around the ground as well as in the centre notwithstanding the dud bounces. When Hickey is drifting forward and kicking 2 goals you’re having a shocker. Hickey is a spud.
Time to play two genuine rucks. Get our structure back. Chol has to be considered.

Hickey was rotating with Mclean in the ruck, so Nank wasn't necessarily on him when he floated forward.
Agree but not sure Chol is the answer. Really miss Soldo.
Neither is proven as a ruckman. Big ask to think CCJ can do it with one game in 4 years under his belt.
Think Soldo is a massive loss for us this year.

Bringing Chol back against Port would be as smart as leaving Egg in against Port.

Throughout our period of dominance we looked the most untouchable when Soldo and Nank rucked together.
We suddenly had zero weakness in our side.
Our next best combination has been Nank and Balta. Though this hurts us back, especially without Vlossy.
And then Nank and Grigg.
And then Nank and no one.
And then Nank and Chol.
And then Soldo and Chol.
Nank has truly been remarkable.
Chol is not the answer.

It’s left field, I know, but would it be worth giving Ryan a run? Can’t give us less than Chol does.
I don’t give a *smile* which ruck we bring in whether it’s Chol, Sampson or Delialah but we can’t go in with just Nank.
Chol has weaknesses but Nank needs asssistance. And Balta will be needed down back. In the past it has been suggested that his particular skillset is well suited to a wing. I prefer him to Naish. He kicks better, he marks better and he is faster.
I think Ryan is closer than a lot of people may think.
The club is thrilled with what he's shown so far.
Could be a good call, a call I like - the Port midfield are fierce, do they have two rucks? so it might come down to matchups
