Noah Balta

I was going to say he should get a vfl game under his belt before returning but there’s no vfl next week due to the state game. So I guess he’ll have to come straight in otherwise if he needs a vfl game first he can’t return to afl til Anzac round.

I think he should sit this one out, have a VFL game and then come back in ANZAC Eve. We’ve got more options down back and up forward than we can fit in at present. If he waca mid I’d slot him straight back in.

I get the feeling Ooze will bring him in for Blight.

And I'm a Blight fan.

I think there is a VFL bye next weekend. I believe we are playing the VIC academy or something like that on a practice match

Rightly or wrongly - Balta is an immediate IN for me....... (noting no VFL next week).

Ignoring the legal issues - he's still one of our best players

I'm not sure how we match up against FREO - but after yesterdays effort surely we are a chance against Melbourne on ANZAC Eve (yes! I'm getting ahead of myself :ROFLMAO: )

As such he should play this week and build tempo and match fitness...

Who goes out?

I'd like to see him play 'back' (I still think it's his best position) but I'll let the MC make the call (Bauer?)

Noah has at times looked lost playing forward.
When moved around to different positions seems to lose concentration.
I remember a game against Dees he was playing back when a C grader in Petty kicked 6 on him and looked like a superstar
Hope when he does come back he’s allowed to settle in one position

Agree with what Bartel Hird said on the Footy Furnace about Balta playing after his court case

It's less pressure on him to come back after the case is done. Otherwise the media will talk about the worst case scenarios that won't actually happen, so it'll stain his name even more

Just wait two weeks, it's so much better to wait than to rush him in and expose him to a more extreme narrative

It's not like we're aiming for finals anyway

Did you read this - the bloody anti-Richmond media are stirring the tiger pot.

Nah I don't pay attention to the media, I only read what posters say in here.

I just don't value clickbait articles, so there's no reason to read dumb / phoney word salads like that

I hope the club doesn’t cave and not play him next week till his sentencing hearing. And if he isn’t incarcerated he should keep on playing and deal with whatever punishment he’s given.

Tend to agree Cups, but I’m in two minds here.

I trust the club, talking with Balta through this and make the right call.

He is going to cop it either way. Media, they have kept going and once he steps on the footy field, by supporters and opposition.
