Definitely a good trade giving up 15 for 20-25, I’d say we’d have the same players except no Balta
So we go after 2 rookies plus (or maybe including) Derek Smith.
I suggest 188-190 tall mids as preference.

With all those talks about (and our needs) when we snatched little Higgins I thought... I bet that kid must be considered too good to overlook.

I wonder if Brander was the target at 17 or it was always a matter of who ever slide that far? Would be interesting to know how it affected our strategy and eventual picks.
Massive, massive result for the club, I'm sure Brander was the target and you could see he was not happy to be going to WA but to have Higgins around at 17 was a dream result and then to get CCJ when I thought they would take Allen was a surprise but his Champs was great and his speed, marking & athleticism stood out. Balta is a project but looks to have the upside Bully talked about so often and Miller looks like he could play anywhere so along with Naish a dream result for a Premier.
