JR wasn't at his best...bit like the Prelim last year.
He's a champion. He'll bounce back for sure. But he didn't even play the decoy role tonight. Lynch always trying to mark against 2 or 3 blokes. With some horrible forward 50 entries

Everyone seemed a bit off. Shai wasn't his creative and damaging best but showed a bit and got involved.

A pass for me in a class which were not performing well.

Shai one of our better players on a night when not many were very good.

Was decent on the night.

He looks like he has bulked up a bit. He might as the season progresses find he has the power to shake tackles off.

Started not great but lifted when others didn't or couldn't.

Has had a pretty good start over his 2 games.

Hope he keeps it up, hes going to be so critical to the side.

Shai will be our best small forward by the end of the year if he isn’t already.

The things he can do, and the ability he shows to get the ball remind me of Michael Walters.

He should be our next priority for a long term contract.

He was good. He like the only one besides lynch who would trouble them.
He looked bigger in the upper body.

I think his opportunities to develop that skill will be extremely scarce

I understand what you are saying and agree. But with the less contact training the tackling would also be to a lower standard. Hence the opportunity to exploit it now that he seems to have the upper body power.

Should have swapped Bolton and Caddy around. Good test for Bolton on Hill and Caddy could have provided a presence in the fwd 50
