Absolute rubbish, not all Australian but 22 disposals playing predominately midfied a fair enough game, droppable ridiculous.
Really disappointing start to 2023.

Had a lairish, lazy game when we needed more.

Again, that doesn’t tell you the real story.
Here’s the reality - Bolton has been pissfarting around for three rounds now, playing with a fraction of his immense talent because he’s distracted, looking up at the scoreboard, trying party tricks instead of taking hits and rolling up his sleeves for the team.
I’ll tell you this - sometimes players get carried away if coach and team constantly sets them up as elite finishers. “Oh, just get it to Bolts and he’ll do the rest”.
Bolton is no Martin in that he hasn’t yet learned consistency. At the moment he has forgotten how to work for a living.
I don’t care how many stats or “best players” you throw at me, this is currently his challenge.
Will he be dropped? No.
Would dropping him have a positive impact? Maybe, maybe not. Depends on his personality.
Does he need an almighty rocket? *smile* absolutely.

Yep he has talent to burn, yep he is probably not using that to even 80% effect.
But our team is changing both in terms of players and game plan. Some of our players are taking time to adapt. Personally I think Bakes until last night was one of those. Marlion and Floss a couple of others.
Bolts was fine in some key metrics and his contested game was as good as anyone out there.
Shia is not one of our concerns at the moment, and if people think he is, we are travelling all right.
