1. Josh Gibcus
2. Samson Ryan
3. Tom Brown
4. Tyler Sonsie
5. Judson Clarke
6. Kane McAuliffe
7. Maurice Rioli
8. Sam Banks
9. Kaleb Smith
10. James Trezise

Seeing as there are no rules, Im making my own
in order-

Josh Gibcus- will be a good player- may be an absolute gun.- no ceiling
Tom Brown- will be a good player, maybe very good- ceiling Nick Vlastuin's best.
Sam Banks- will be a good player, maybe very good- ceiling Nick Vlastuin's best.

Samson Ryan- will finish somewhere between the greatest player to ever live or Liam McBean, but Im confident/hopeful in a Benny Gale level career at least (with more success).

Tyler Sonsie- I think he will carve out a nice career. Hopefully reaching Kane Lambert levels but maybe a little lower.
Judson Clarke- I think he will carve out a nice career. Hopefully reaching Kane Lambert levels but maybe a little lower. Probably more confident he will still be playing in 6 years than Sonsie.

Maurice Rioli- i think he makes it. should play plenty of footy over the next few years.
Noah Cumberland- who knows!
Jacob Bauer- has some good traits, but at his size will need to be extra quality to have a long career.
Matt Coulthard- good traits, but small forwards are very hard to judge. not sure.
James Trezise- shows something but reality is any quality career will be a bonus. hopefully he can add to the depth of our next dynasty.

Steely Green- havent seen enough of.
Kaleb Smith- havent seen enough of.
Seth Campbell- havent seen enough of.
Kane McAuliffe- havent seen enough of.
Liam Fawcett- havent seen enough of.

Soft!!!

FWIW - Word is that McAuliffe is the one to watch this year.
The yearly "one to watch", didn't Redford have Stelly Green as last years version?

Be wary of the four-week predictions.

Only fair Leysy goes first. Will see a big discrepancy coming up!

Yes am bored!

  1. Josh Gibcus
  2. Samson Ryan
  3. Tom Brown
  4. James Trezise
  5. Jacob Bauer
  6. Tyler Sonsie
  7. Kaleb Smith
  8. Matt Coulthard
  9. Sam Banks
  10. Judson Clarke

Cumberlands the hardest one for Leysy. Could be a permanent fixture and kick 35 goals this year or just as easily delisted.

Judson behind a few is a shocking call. Kaleb Smith ahead of Judson? Hang on if Leysy thinks Judson is no good it's the reverse kiss of death!!

21 & under my criteria for kids

1. Gibcus - looked a snr player in his rookie year so the only way is up from there. So much depends on his body though.
2. Sonsie - First pre season since recruited & reaping the rewards. Clear ability. 2nd year blues may just be the making of him.
3. Brown - Class by foot. If he gets harder he'll make a very good player.
4. Smith - Purely going on Matt Clarke's excitement here..
5. Cumberland - AFL talent. if maturity follows we will have a very good player.
6. Trezise - Has the determination to make carve out a solid career. Might end up better than just a flanker.
7. Banks - Hopefully as good as McIntosh or Pickett with time. Leadership skills a bonus.
8 Clarke - Another preseason should help natural improvement. Jury still out a bit for me though.
9. Campbell - Hoping a full pre season will give his talents a chance to shine but it was a setback.
10 Rioli Jnr - Play him on the ball like his Dad & see where it goes. Nothing to lose at this point.

Overall I think our kids are ok compared to the rest of the comp without setting the world on fire. A number of those listed above may not make it at all yet.
Need more top end talent which I think we'll get in the next draft.

In what universe do 5 players in the one draft year, (2021), make a decent career of it?, 3 at best me thinks, I'll back Gibcus, Brown and Sonsie from that draft, (if it wasn't for seeing Sonsie this pre-season I would have wiped him last year).

I am back on board Cumberland, no histrionics or dropping of the head, (is having a very good pre-season).

The only ones I’m confident will play 100 games.
Gibcus has hamstring issues.
Brown has played 1 game in two seasons.
Sonsie went backwards & got suspended.
Clarke lost his spot in the team. Didn’t win much footy.
Samson also lost his spot in the side to Soldo.

I hate to be pessimistic but until proven otherwise there’s question marks on all of our kids.

Total guesstimate in any order you'd like to put them
Gibber
Clarkey
Samsung
Browneye
Cummerbund
Tree size
Sonzarelli
Maybe might have enough to develop into good players for us if all goes well.
Of the rest, there's a cuppla scrubbers might probably be gone at end of 2024 n the rest might need to be looking to at least be opening up an opportunity or two at senior level. There's not a real lot to go with from most of the juniors.

Agree. Difficult to make calls either way just yet. Some stuff I like, some not so much, some just meh.

Brown's first game was very impressive though. I'm a bit reluctant to mention it-but he looks like a beautiful kick.
