Time already to play the kids Collier D , Roili, Dow rotate them BUT play them in happy if we miss the 8 BUT better having the kids get some game time .
It's about Premierships not comminy 4th .

It’s a no brainer that Stack comes into the side this week.

This will allow Bolton to play purely as a mid and Stack up forward.

I would also bring in Sonsie. Too much class to be playing reserves. Fast track his development. I am big on getting 50 games into these kids ASAP. He might not be ready fitness wise but we don’t need him playing more than 70% game time.

In: Stack Sonsie Macintosh Ralphsmith
Out: Prestia Aarts Riewoldt Ross

HB: Rioli Gibcus Short
C: Macintosh Martin Pickett
HF: Edwards Balta Castsgna
F: Stack Lynch Baker
Foll: Nankervis Cotchin Bolton
Int: Sonsie Ralphsmith Soldo Graham
Sub: Ross

I got the same vibes as last year (on Thursday night), I’m pushing panic buttons already.

Hopefully omit Ross.
Six turnovers.
Dithers and panics under pressure, kicks to opponents down the line, instead of better handball and inboard option.
Ross's best possie is inside mid. Play him in that role. Ross still defers to Dusty and Cotch too much. He finds the football at least. I'm not sure who else we have. Caddy seems to ba a VFL player Plus bring in RCD. Leave Bolton in there all game. . I'd also have Cotch half fwd. I love his attack. I don't think Dusty is 100%. Faded badly. I hope Graham, Edwards have better games. Cotchin's DE 35% Ross 80%

More height needed on backline for mine.

Sonsie isn’t ready. Give him another 2-3 VFL games.
Rioli was our worst player on Thursday. Scared s**tless and a total liability in the backline.
Out: Prestia, Jack, Rioli
In: RCD, KMac, Dow

i agree with Rioli comment. I think Mansell is a better defender than Rioli.
Does Aarts keep his spot?

I thought Rioli was good in the 1st half and some of his run from defence in the 1st quarter was what we are looking for, but he faded like the whole team did.

I fail to see how Rioli was worse than Aarts who IMO was clearly the worst player on the ground.

If we really are a systems based side you would expect we will maintain the forward system we've worked on in the preseason with the three tall forwards and spare ruckman.

If that's the case then who comes in for Riewoldt? By all reports Caddy was putrid in the VFL, Ryan? Biggie Nyuon?

Or do we abandon plan A because we let all our key forward stock walk last year?
Let Soldo and Nank rotate in ruck/attack.

It worked in 2017.
