Shane Edwards

Just scrolling through some finals on the PC. Peak Shane was a brute of a player. Hurt factor with ball and body. Just aint there now. Even if we have carried him I don't mind at all.

Some players deserve to be honoured with a milestone game, and Shane is one.

300 games is remarkable
Trickiest and best hands in the business
Pretty unique footballer
Very pleased to have watched him do his thing

I reckon we will get up and win for Titch in his 300th. Will be a momentum starter for the next 4 weeks. I hope!

Geez, thinking a lot about Kane today and having watched his video; then thinking about Shane about to retire. Bachar and DTLD last year. And seeing Rance in the rooms to celebrate Dylan's milestone a few weeks back, makes me realise again what a squad of champs we have had.

So bittersweet to farewell these champs.

Then there's Cotch and Jack for me; I couldnt rate them higher. Gotta admit to not being a fan of Cotch's missus.
But that aside, I feel we've been incredibly blessed with both of them.
I cant even think that far ahead to a few weeks time with what they might do, without getting emotional.

Have a feeling that a loss to the Lions this week will open the floodgates and we will have retirements announced.

Yep its season over if we lose. In fact we need to win the last 4 to be any chance of making it.

I was walking past and noticed these legends. They said it was okay to take a quick snap

KB, Edwards, Rex Hunt and Jack.
Everyone was great except for Rex. He must a little off.

It's St Francis Bourke isn't it?
Yeah of course it is - this looks like a 300 game group so Rex wouldn’t have been there.
And I can’t believe that St Francis was “off” either

Overall a well deserved 300th game for Shane. Been a remarkable player in a stellar career and even though his last few games have not been up to the standard he sets himself he has been a true Tiger and an AA star
