Still giving us nothing...'cept Cups and Medals

Geelong had 1676 points kicked against them in 2019 including finals averaging 67

They had 9 home games and conceded 524 at an average 58 points. They won 8 lost one

Their 16 away from Kardina Park averaged 72

what was our points against average for our 12 game winning streak? it must be close to 58 points

Probably not the right place for this comment. .... can't seem to find a 2020 prediction thread so if there is one please point me there.

Is it just my imagination or is there an inordinate amount of certain clubs really talking the talk this preseason?
I get the membership drive thing but it can quickly turn to **** if ya don't deliver!

I'm starting to wonder how we'll make the 8 with Melbourne, North, St Kilda and the Swans pushing their case for a resurgence.
I hope Ratts knows what he's doing down there under the watchful eyes of those highly respected operators Pants Lethlean amd Grubby Allen.

Btw..... we should have copyrighted the connection word..... ffs everyone is so connected these days it's nearly like they're bonking eachother to catch up!

Yes. I’ve heard Mount Franklin is having his best pre season ever.
Melbourne are making a documentary on their pre season. (Kid you not)
North, hardest pre season in years.

On Sen today they had "who are the AFL's SuperStars"
They named Dangerfield, Ablett, Buddy, Fyfe & Martin.
How Castagna and Rioli don't make that list has me Flked.
2 of those are finished Ablett & Buddy.
Penderbury Cotchin Grimes and Stack are all superstars of our game.

Before the bye we averaged just under 78 for and 84 against

After the bye we averaged 99 for and 60 against

It's amazing isn't it, after Hinkley's comments yesterday we all may as well not bother & take the year off as they have it in the bag. I have also noticed it's the also rans doing the talking, not hearing a peep out of the contenders...

Spot on. So true.
The clubs that have more chance merging then winning a flag seem always to be the loudest.
Brisbane will fall back where they belong this year.
And i think stkilda will realise very quickly that adding names to your list dosent automatically mean success.

Going to be a bit of scrum at the start of Brisbane games this year with half the side now in their leadership group.

Hinkley's job is on the line as well. They'd just about have to win the flag for him to keep his job.

They were highly amusing. They’ll win because they’re doing everything possible. I guess the other 17 teams are just not bothering to try too hard this year, eh Ken?

Our recent rise from 13th to powerhouse has given the poor clubs a false sense of optimism. Bless them.

Geelong also have the advantage of having to defend their sausage of a ground every seconds week.

Whats he paying to get the ass first??
Zips Tips.
Hinkley will be the first to go.
Goodwin, Buckley, Dew and Cameron will fight it out for the 2nd one to go....

Still reckon the first Port game was the one that won us the flag more than any other last year.
We were 1-2, coming off two shellackings, interstate, and it was the only game we played last year without any of Cotchin, Martin, Riewoldt and Rance.
1-3 would have been hard to come back from.
Even if every other result remained the same, a loss of just 20-odd points would have seen us fifth and West Coast in the four.

That loss must have been pretty hard for them to explain internally.

Finals is mandatory for Kenny to avoid the axe you;d reckon.

Not guarantee they'll get there either.

Only game under Hardwick without all four. I didn't think we could win and the players must've had doubts, at least privately. It was exciting and did wonders for the belief of everyone associated with the club.

Apart from the finals, it was my favourite win, we embarrassed the plastic tough guys.

Especially with kochie at the hem & we all know he loves being the news.

FWIW i have the Bombers crashing out of the 8 this yr, after all they only had 2 wins v top 8 sides last yr & are starting behind the 8 ball with injuries without any decent depth...

I guess the others don't "really want to win the flag this yr" either....
