A more recent example of this pathway through Swans is our own Nathan Broad.
Broad had talent but was at an absolute crossroads when Swans convinced him to get dinkum.
The rest is history as they say.
1 and 2's in the backline.
No where near the impact Stack had.
Opposition were scared of him.
He wouldve been in his prime now.
6th season and dominating.
The club gave him everything but he fked it up.
I'm shattered that he wasn't committed enough to play the game.

Being brutally honest though, Stackman had one excellent year then three poor ones with us. We don't miss him on the field.

Apart from the fairytale of a young fella being recruited after all others passed him by, and then the year he produced, I also imagine that if Stacky had settled down and just owned the HBF he'd be one less piece of the jigsaw the club would be piecing together.
Some of our post Stacky recruitment decisions might have been a little different if his role was one less to be concerned over.
We miss 2019 Stack, we don't miss 2020, 2021 and 2022 Stack. Which was the real Stack? on exposed long term form the latter Stack was what we had and we weren't getting 2019 Stack back again.
His late season cameo in 2021 was excellent from memory? Very close to his 2019 form
