The Geelong Cants

Hun saying Andrew Mackie will target a first rounder for Esava Ratagulea. Sav has played 75 games over 6 seasons (ave 12.5 games a season) , played 16 this season and was dropped to the VFL. Should that get you a first rounder?

The Hun is full of it or just reporting an ambit claim by geesook.

Ratonmygear n the NogoodMcKay would be almost irrelevant players if they weren't tall. They'd be worth late second rounders as trades and somewhere around $300 to $400 thou a year maximum.
Because of the fact they're both very tall players, some brain fried list managers and a heap of media hype they are somehow worth $700 thou plus per year and an early first round pick.
AFL is steadily becoming nothing more than an over hyped circus.

Scott being a bit entitled here. Putting in time and resources into a player does mean you are owed a return on that investment. Heck, Ratagolea was a forward ruck until this year when he was thrown back by necessity with very mediocre effect.

Ratugolea is what? 6-7 years into his career and is still only a fringe player at best? I’d argue strongly that if it hasn’t happened now it is unlikely to ever happen for him at Geelong. He should take the money and run while Scott accept that if you live by the sword you die by the sword and stop whinging about it.

Exactly and it wasn't a problem for them when they stole Cameron off GWS. *smile* these pricks are arrogant.

All he is trying to do is get more in return.
He wants him gone, he knows he isn't good either forward or back.
It's Port who keep trying to pick up duds from other clubs and turn them into stars.
This is a normal off season for Port.
Off load all picks that push them further away from a premiership

Aside from the fact Geelong is like a retirement home, Goldy is a force of nature, 315 games and he's still a top 5 ruck. Amazing durability for a player who has played a lone hand in just about all of his 300+ games. Dean Cox probably the best modern day ruck, Gawn a champion in his own right but Goldy has been monumental. Outstanding career and thoroughly deserves to go down as one of the best in the business.

Serviceable for a very long time at best in the low-end team. Outstanding is a stretch. Hasn't really dominated the AFL. He is chasing sucess. Geelong bound. Good luck to him....
