The I ❤️ Collingwood thread.

Oh this is so good.. here's Eddiewood's suggestions on the 29th April on FC re players breaking corona protocols... :rotfl2

They just showed it on the footy show on Fox, but in typical fashion Brereton defended Eddie and King is just shiit scared to bag Eddie, said it's Eddie taking the bullets to defend his player.
Robbo was spot on that Eddie is a hypocrite and that it's one rule for Collingwood and one rule for the rest.
Your not going to have an unbiased view on this because Eddie has too many contacts and has a huge influence in the AFL.
Hutchy won't bag him.

Eddie still selling the Elixir of Life from his covered wagon ..

ABC radio reporting that DeGoey has been charged in relation to an incident in 2015....?

Surely Eddie will be out with a statement this arvo!

This was from May 26 ABC News website

Collingwood star Jordan De Goey is set to front the Melbourne Magistrates' Court after allegedly being caught driving while suspended and using his phone behind the wheel.

The ABC can reveal it is one of two charges De Goey, 24, faces relating to incidents in July 2019.

De Goey was due to face the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Wednesday where he would be charged on summons, but the matter is likely to be adjourned after non-urgent matters were adjourned under coronavirus measures.

The Collingwood Football Club declined to comment, saying the matter would be dealt with by the courts.

De Goey is being represented by Malkoun & Co Lawyers, who also declined to comment.

His latest legal trouble comes after he was indefinitely suspended from senior selection and fined $10,000 by Collingwood after blowing 0.095 during a random breath test in 2018.

As a result of the incident, De Goey had to agree not to drink alcohol until that year's season ended, enlist the help of medical professionals to "improve his decision making" and make "significant changes" to his social life.

The year before that, De Goey needed to have surgery on his right hand after injuring himself in a bar fight.

He was fined $5,000 and suspended for three matches by Collingwood after lying about his involvement and telling the club he had injured himself playing with his dog.

Tom Morris reporting De Goey charged with sexual assault from an incident in 2015. Eddie yet to comment.

Assume DeGoey drank scotch for the first time and went through a wrong door

Collingwood star Jordan De Goey charged with sexual assault
Foxfooty.com.au can reveal De Goey and another 24-year-old male have been charged in relation to an incident that is alleged to have taken place in 2015.
Victoria Police delivered the following statement to foxfooty.com.au on Saturday.
“Detectives from the Sexual Crimes Squad have charged two people in relation to a reported sexual assault,” it read.
“Two 24-year-olds, one from Hampton East and one from Clematis, have both been charged with indecent assault and bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates‘ Court at a later date.

“The charges are in relation to an incident which is alleged to have occurred in Kew in 2015. As this matter is now before the court, police will not be making any further comment.”

Collingwood released a statement on Saturday afternoon.
“Collingwood player Jordan De Goey was today charged with one count of indecent assault relating to an historical incident in 2015,” the statement read.

“At Collingwood’s insistence, and with full co-operation from De Goey, the matter was investigated by the AFL Integrity Unit and Victoria Police in 2018. No charges were laid.
“De Goey will remain in the Collingwood football program while the legal process takes its course.
“Neither Collingwood nor De Goey is in a position to make further comment.”

The statements come a day after De Goey accumulated 21 disposals in Collingwood’s 15-point loss to Essendon at the MCG.
One of the AFL’s most recognisable players, De Goey has kicked 120 goals from 93 games.
He was drafted by Collingwood with Pick 5 in the 2014 national draft.

If in fact the allegations are proven ...... let's spare a thought for whoever the victim is.
Makes the Sidebottom incident pale into insignificance if true.
