Tyler Sonsie

I think today showed we definitely need an injection of pace and hard long running mids/wingers.

This bloke needed to be that but is he..?
Judson couldl be one. Any chance we can pinch Anderson from the Labradors.

Sonsie is a pivot player he;s an accumulator distributor with skill.

From Gold Coast Noah Anderson.

Tigers be the only club to have 3 Noahs on the field 1 in each 3rd of the ground too :))

Get it done Hartley
Is there anything behind this or are you just dreaming? Did he at least barrack for us , or something

Nah just me wishing we had some high-quality junior midfielders to go forward with as its not looking real flash right now.

Weve got Shai and thats it.

Wasn’t there a whisper that we could go after Sam Flanders? However since the demise of Dew his stocks have risen and probably isn’t going anywhere now.

Good to see Tyler get 8 clearances.

Tyler Sonsie (31 disposals, 13 contested possessions, eight marks, eight clearances, five inside-50s)

"High contested possession and clearance numbers again on the weekend. He probably let himself down by foot with his ball use, but he certainly was able to win the ball for us."

Absolutely. We know he can kick already.

Fancy his kicking efficiency dropping off when he plays more inside. It will always happen under more contested pressure. We know how he uses it on the outside
Correct.
What we’re looking for is a balance in his game between inside and outside.
He doesn’t have break away speed so he’ll never have the ability to create space and balance when he’s inside getting contested ball. But we’re trying to teach him that when it’s your turn to go, you go.
Ideally we want him on the outside using his foot skills but he’ll be a far more dangerous finished product once he’s been fully educated

As we look beyond Cotch, I've gotta say that Sonz has been one of the biggest disappointments this season.
2nd year blues?
Last year he started like a house on fire & we thought he was the next big thing but so far this season he's managed just 3 senior games. 3.
His last game at AFL level was terrible.
He looks like he can play but the lack of intent at times in his game at VFL level is polar opposite to a player like Trent. Unless he finds that sheer competitiveness, it won't matter how pretty his skills are.
Having the likes of battlers Dow & Ralphsmith selected ahead of him in the squad this week suggests the coaching staff aren't happy about something they're seeing. Fingers crossed he can get it going cause we desperately need quality young mids.
Next season is massive for him.

That GC game didn’t enrapture me whatsoever
huge let down this year.
not sure the kid deals or works hard enough coming back from injury.

He might not be a contested beast but boy he is a beautiful user of the football. Left is almost as good as his right.

@Scoop he was a class above today.

Needs to tackle. Even commentators mentioned so lame efforts
whatever happened to playing to your strengths? Used to be the core of what Richmond did.

Belting the door down, thats all he can do.

Was great again today. Looked a class above.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with his effort, it’s the lack of conditioning that does him in. Desperately needs a full pre-season to really show us what he can do.
