VFL today

Looks like Bolton sitting out the last quarter. Either he is injured or he is a sneaky chance for a run in the 1sts next week.

Nah, they were resting players in the last 5-10 mins. Miles, Bolton, Hampson, Griffiths and 1 other.

Wasn't it 73 or 74?

I'm recalling 1973 watching theU19s, reserves and then the big boys win at the MCG.

If my recollection is correct, the suburban affiliated side, can't recall the suburb, won the 4th's.

C'mon history buffs, please confirm.

If I'm wrong about '73, then it was the following year as I attended both the '73 and '74 GFs.

Didn't this happen in 1980? 1st, 2nds and 3rds(?) all in the GF that season.
From memory we lead the goal kicking for u19s, 2s and 1s... Peter Lane, Mark Jackson and Michael Roach.

Correct.

Richmond fourths was Essex Heights in the Waverley area.

Very unofficial affiliation though.

Your welcome.

We can now see at least one GF in 2017.
Could be a huge weekend for the club next week.

Will be a cracker of a weekend coming up. The big prelim final on Saturday evening where we beat GWS and then the big VFL grand final on Sunday.
A great weekend to be a Tiger.
Will be two victories to enjoy and rejoice in.
Go Tigers.

Go Tigers.
The team will have plenty of support.
I hope everyone that can't or won't be able to get to the GF (if we make it) really gets involved next weekend.
85k at the G and the get around the VFL boys.

Amazing day at the VFL.

I stood near Dimma most of the game.

He looked pretty happy as you would expect.

I'm reluctant to trade anyone bar maybe Lennon or Chol as everyone has so much upside.

Ripper win. Really hope we win it. Some silverware is long overdue.

Where was Brian Taylor in that group?
Was Taylor's first year at Tigerland, but he didn't lead the gosl kcking until '82.

gotcha, so that's why we let him go to Collingwood with the rest of the odds.

My recollection is that BT was or was almost a 100 goal kicker in the subs. But we had Roach and Teasdale.

And Mark Jackson if I recall

Teasdale left richmond 74/75 part of the Pitura trade

So we've only had 1 close game in this finals series so far.

Interestingly our list has improved to the extent that eight guys that were virtually walk up starts a couple of years ago now cant get a game in the seniors.

Morris, Hampson, Hunt, Maric, Conca, Batchelor, Miles and Lloyd.

The other interesting point is that we now actually win games
