Welcome Bigoa Nyuon

Kid is a freak of an athlete and shows massive upside in little glimpses
Majak, Cholly............................................................................... So far there's only been a hint of the potential talent for the African kids as there's only been a handful of them drafted.
Give the comp ten or twenty years n I'm thinking most clubs will have a couple of these youngsters on their lists. Their size and athletic ability is through the roof, just gotta get them up to game structure n tank n look out.

I reckon will start to see atleast 3 or 4 drafted in the top 30 each year going forward

Biggy has been extremely unlucky

* Covid impacted seasons
* Injuries
* Suspension

Kid is a freak of an athlete and shows massive upside in little glimpses
Hopefully we get a decent season of VFL to get games and development
He has 3 years on the rookie list now so enough time to develop properly without pressure

Only 20 years old and starting his career , We just need to consider him like a Leek Alleer
Great post Turk. The lack of games has hampered everyone's development. He's also a tall, who notoriously take longer.
We just need to be patient and look for signs. Has talent. I'm concerned COVID may take opportunity again next year.
I hope he has the passion and attitude to thrive.

Gut feel says we might see a surprise debut by Biggie now that potentially both Grimes and Vlastuin will not play.

That said, Biggy was preferred in the Escort Cup and was okay. I was very bearish until then.

Notorious was tender when he first came on. Almost painfully shy.
But toward the end he came into it.

Then he hit an angled kick into the centre square. The only one of the game.
Must have broken team rules. I like the kick.

Preferred for the little cup? Nah exposure only. Still back of the queue with a mission to build his game. Be more than Down The Line B

I heard one of the development coaches talking about biggie and saying his big strength is his kicking. They're trying to get him to be more offensive and move the ball through him. There's trust in his play. I'd like to see him come in if Grimes doesn't make it.

I'd suspect he's not ready but agree his kicking looks like a strength.
Biggie hopes

There was one passage of play against the Hawks where we had it on the far back flank and Biggie looked free at CHB just inside the square yet the kicker went back to the goal square then it was passed on to the near back flank but no closer to goal. That player stopped, then just kicked long and it went out of bounds. It didn't show much faith in Biggie as he would have been a more direct option for that passage of play.

all too common a problem , every team , every era

once a player earns respect in his team mates eyes , then they start kicking it to him , if he keeps earning their respect then they kick it to him regardless of who else is free

think Richo and how over time our players became so mesmerised we'd mindlessly kicked it to Richo no matter how many defenders were hanging off him

and that sort of thing happened to all great forwards over time

Biggie has to take a few contested marks , use the ball well and the tide will turn

**
there was a tiny snippet in the how we selection our captains , that had Biggie speaking in a small break out group , I liked it
now come on regular VFL games so he can develop and show his wares

Watched the stream of the game today. Not sure about Biggie. Plays a lot of lurk in the hole interceptor / spoiler footy, Not much in the way of heavy contested or ground ball game, maybe got fancy finesse n not much else??

Biggy's last two weeks have been promising. Smashed a few aerial packs against Footscray and showed good balance and poise against Carlton, when he was usually matched up on De Koning or Kemp. He's tall, fast, his skills are immaculate, aggression and competitiveness on the rise. I think he'll get a game or two on this trajectory.

Bigoa is now 20yo. Miller is now 23yo. Nyuon is probably ahead of Miller at the same age. Plenty to like.
