Sausage did a fair bit of limping n hobbling a few times during the game last week, before he even copped his whack in the face. Could be he's simply struggling for best form, could be he's just playing sore after getting crunched a few times. Coaches would know but obviously won't say, so it's open to speculation. There's enough talent in the team to rotate n cover for him.
Carlscum can't afford to not play Crippa even though they openly admit he's playing sore n struggling for form. Last couple of seasons show they're happy to let him get bashed up game after game if it means they at least stay competitive. 26 years old n probably already got a 30 year old body.

About time he was dropped.
He’s played many more ordinary games than good ones since 2017 And has been carried by his teammates for three years.
His pressure work may be highly rated but he is not competitive when we need him to get the footy.

Seems to be getting dropped a bit lately. Obviously not applying the required level of pressure.

He’s never moved as well or been as quick post 2017 GF injury. Hasn’t been the same player. Whether this can be improved, who knows. Regardless he has to lift consistency of intensity which seems to fluctuate in games to me. Plus he has to get back to winning more of the ball - can’t have games touching it under 10 times.

This bit doesn't bother me at all.
Small forwards bringing the heat on opposition defenders, like Georgie, Sausage n Aartsy Faartsy are required to do to enable us to lock the ball in our forward half is the game we've been playing for five years.
If these blokes are getting it 8 or 10 times themselves n getting their couple of shots at goal per game, it's pretty much job done.
Keep the oppo defence under serious heat create some havoc n opportunity n game after game we've got a stack of blokes all bobbing up n sharing the goals, we don't need to rely on one or two blokes kicking plenty, simply means the other sides can't cover everything.
Jaaack, Lynchman, Dusty, Georgie, Sausage, Aartsy, Lamblett, KMac, Prestigiocomo, even Shedda, Cotch, Shorty, Balta, Fish n Cadds all known to regularly sneak forward n have a bang at goals. It's a nightmare for opposition coaches to cover for whoever bobs up from nowhere.

Reckon it's time for Sausage to tried further down the ground in the VFL, cant season why he can't come back into the side as a winger. If Marlion goes back to the wing it will be a tough gig to replace him or KMac though.

Seems to be less clean with his ball handling than he used to be and is now more inclined to fumble at the critical moment

Dont know if that’s a fitness thing or confidence but once upon a time if he got a hand on the ball he seemed to have the speed and balance to keep it in play - even in a congested situation - until he gained control.

Dimma could be tweaking his role in response to the opposition playing differently.

His role is more about the game plan than most, and the game has suddenly changed more than usual, which probably requires more of a change to his role than usual.

Was dropped last year and I think the year before and came back and got himself a medal. An important piece to the puzzle.

Ya not playing for lolnorf or Coll son. Ya playing for the Tiger Kings. Go back and get some touch.

Consistently in our top 2-3 fastest players in each match he plays. Also in top 2-3 for repeat sprint efforts. People keep saying he’s not as quick post 2017 but the data does not support this.

Was likely dropped because his effort and intensity weren’t at the level required. Will be brought straight back in as soon as Hardwick and co. feel it’s back at the level they expect. Rioli’s ability to apply pressure and cover space quickly in the front half is so crucial to what we want to do he won’t be missing for long.
