Ha ha, he only had 3 kicks!

I think that is part of the plan, it appears he is an even better Player when he doesn’t get the ball.

Point is his kicking is being made to be much worse than it really is.

Rioli, Prestia and even Lynch sprayed kicks but not Pickett.

As you pointed out so delicately, he had a low possession count (9) but he did play his role and we won.

Be really surprised if he's dropped against Port.

The minister for a Kamdyn Macintosh would like to file a complaint against the minister for Marion Pickett.

Kmac half the player that Pickett is?

Only if you exclude ground covered, overhead ability, decision making, metres gained, contest work, kicking ability and defensive work.

It's true that he's half as good at giving away free kicks.

But they're both playing their roles beautifully.

And they're each individually 8 times the player that Brad Hill is.
Marlion has better hair, and it's all his own work.

If you rewatched the match did you notice Pickett matched against Hill as some posters have claimed.

I noticed that in the first quarter MacIntosh was on the same wing as Hill.

This thread is like question time in parliament, the opposition raises a question , The Minister of Pickett , EzyT responds.
But if it was parliament, and a question from the opposition the Minister of Pickett would not answer the question about his bad kicking, or other weaknesses, he would turn use every question to mention Pickett's running, and bumps.

He definitely was for a while but not being there its hard to tell.

There's no doubt Pickett had more impact on the match than Hill.

pickett seemed to be on Hill every time I looked. They were pretty friendly before each quarter.

possibly mates from WA?

I just watched the replay.

After reading all the negativity surrounding his terrible kicking I thought I'd keep a sharp eye on his game especially his disposal by foot.

There was one pressured kick that missed slightly over the top of his intended target on the outside wing. Another was smothered on the same wing.

Other than that, his disposal was fine.

He gave away 2 high fees but was hard at the man and the ball all night.
Spot on.

On the tighter wings at AO wouldn't surprise if we brought caddy in.

Could only be for Caddy, i wouldnt do it, but at the same time it wouldnt be a terrible decision.

Yes, its a testament to our depth.

But Marlion would beat Josh by 5 metres in a 30m sprint.

I also suspect Marlion's GPS would average a couple of extra km's than Joshs.

another notable difference, is Josh talks a lot, whereas Marlion hits a lot.

and I'm not running Josh down. Josh is better overhead and in front of goal.

Caddy is 87kg, Marlion is 84kg.

Clearly this conjecture is born from Ports Midfield pack weight.

But there wouldnt be a Richmond person alive that wouldnt answer the question

'would you rather be hit by Marlion or Josh?'

Get Pickett to play on Wines.
He is ports most dangerous mid.
A couple of Pickett's clumsy tackles might end Wine's night early..

I think Caddy would be a good inclusion but not on a wing for Pickett. Caddy seems too slow to play that role this year. I'd like to see him as an additional forward option with a bit of midfield time for centre square grunt if required. If he plays, IMO it should be for either Castagna (given us very little this year) or Lambert (really seems to be struggling at the moment).

I wouldnt be outraged at Caddy for Lambert,

but I wouldnt be happy about it.
