Welcome to the Tigers Marlion Pickett!

Gone up a level this year. Consistently one of our best. We really need to get him to 100 games.

Sitting on the wing in the southern it is awesome to see the impending doom approaching the opposition well before those on tv realise what is about to happen (being zoomed in on a close up of a doggies throw).

It's what you really really want from a winger isn't it. Blood-lust. Dipper levels. But he's toned it down a smidge and the rest of his game is flourishing. But the blade is always in the kit-bag.

Marlin be buggered, he's a sneaky nasty stone fish with a big horrible stinger. Somebody posted whispering death about him a few weeks back n it's a perfect description. Cruises up n down the ground patrolling his wing n hits full destructive mode off a step or two.

Loved that last line. I notice he is the first on the scene when there is a bit of niggle happening with the opposition.

100 games for Pickett is now a realistic milestone for him he's played near what 40 odd games so realistically should have close to or on 60 odd games by seasons end with another 2 years possibly3.

Might be a gold mine of father sons down the track.

He can probably afford a couple more kids now too.

Levelled up in 2022. If this is his standard, Wow. Beautiful footballer to watch in an imperfect way. Makes some mistakes but when he gets it right then it’s gorgeous to watch. Glides across the turf.
Would be leading the JDM with Broady. Love Broady probably my fave Tiger atm, but it’s like comparing a Ferrari to a John Deere.

Loving last few posts on Marly and his beastness.
We certainly have some "footsteps" guys in the team now.
You know the type where the oppo hear footsteps and quickly look around to see if any of The Pain Department are in the vicinity.
Marly 1st Officer and Captain Pain himself, Captain Nankenstein.

(Don't want to get off topic but we have a few guys who inflict pain in different ways almost on every line.

Tackling Pain = Dan Rioli
Hitting the ball and the forward in the back of the head Pain = Optimus Prime + FlossTone
Gut busting running flapping Pain = Pinjarra Kmac Flappers
Bruising full back Pain = Tommy Gun Lynch
Don't get fooled by my lack of size Pain = Balls Baker
Midfield extraction Pain = The Human Meatball
Could almost list the whole side.

Am, I happy today? Hell Yeah.:))

But I digress)

Marly is also a lot cleaner this year and less fumbly I noticed.
One hand grabbing and he's off with the footy.
Really gotten accustomed to the speed of the game.
Building a nice CV and yes happy to get him to 100 real quick as mentioned by Lambie above.

There's an unofficial rule that players don't actually find their feet at AFL level until 30-40 games, then they level up again after 60-70 to basically 80% of what they ever will be. It's hard to apply those rules to Marlion because he started much later. But last night was game 41 and I'll be damned if I've ever saw him look more at home and more confident. The crumb and left foot to Bakes. Wow. Everything below the knees is one touch at pace right now.

Others have said it and I agree, right now after three rounds he's top 5 in the JDM.

He may of mentioned in his interview that this year has been injury free and full of preseason compared to the last year. Nevertheless, he is wonderful to watch and I hope he continues to maintain his highest level. could rub off on Parker.

His ability both to connect to targets up the ground and place the ball to their advantage with the pass is a more enduring benefit than the tough tackling and skills holding the ball which shows his flair. Happy days on the wings atm for RFC. Macca certainly not playing badly.

I hope he gets to 100 in the tiger’s sash too but I have a horrible feeling in my bones he’ll want to do a Kelly at year’s end.
