Or maybe he is a victim of a sh!thouse game plan?

Think it was more lost at the selection table not playing a second tall in the forward line .....

Relax folks.

Got his touches up the ground because our structure was kaput.

George and Jeeves may as well as downed tools as soon as they saw the team.

Fears on Jason are being realised. Not really an AFL quality player.

A little premature I think ToO.

Granted he sprayed it but was caught way out of position.

Tough crowd.

Cyril Rioli wouldn't have got a touch the way our forward line was structured combined with ball movement/delivery.

He's progressing OK. Tough for small forwards to be consistent week in week out. Doesn't make it any easier when no talls to bring it to the ground either.

Yeah exactly.

Smalls work off the key forwards contest. Without anyone bringing the ball to ground it's a pretty ask for small forward to make an impact.

My issue is he fumbles every second ball, of which he is currently recovering about half of those. Is not sustainable. Hope he can tidy it up.

Agree. He is not a clean one grab player; fumbles quite a bit. Also noticed that he very rarely takes marks out in front in his hands; mostly on his chest.

These are not attributes of a long term good quality AFL player. He has had a good start to this year but he needs to improve in these areas if he is going to make it long term. As teams put more work into the RFC forward set up the pressure will only intensify.

I think Butler has more of a chance of being a permanent AFL fixture than George.

A taller version of Nahas

Yep, that's who he reminds me of.

Endeavor great but One sided, poor decision maker. Looks better when closer to goal, looks lost up the ground.

Has some good attributes but has some real weaknesses ie fumbling and poor kicking.

I wonder what the new "development" coache(s) are or have been doing to address the issues raised not just for Jason but other players. If we as individuals can pick this up no doubt the club would know more.

Really curious. Choco was sacked last year as unbeknown to him, he was crap at his development job.

I personally don't know, does anyone know?

Of course they'll be working on skills. They question is whether they simulate match conditions, because the fumbling is because of pressure and strain. If they just roll a ball on the ground it ain't going to do anything to improve the real deficiencies in skills.

No denying his endeavour but he gets caught way to often and hasn't got a left leg.

Give Stengle a crack!

I think Castagna's work rate has dropped off.
Would consider playing hi off half back where he spent a lot of time in the VFL.
Maybe B Ellis deep forward. if Ellis is going to kick around his body, it may as well be at the goals.

This is the biggest knock on him. He is a massive fumbler. You can not make it at this level if you fumble as much as he does.
