Worst we have sent to England in many a year probably since 1985 when the rebel tour decimated playing stocks.Sheesh that’s a fragile batting top 5 (not including Labuschagne and Smith) : Harris, Warner, Wade, Marsh, Paine.
Surely one of them has to stand up.
Yep, and before that the 1979 side which was a 4th XI.Worst we have sent to England in many a year probably since 1985 when the rebel tour decimated playing stocks.
What’s the highest score Smith has come to the cease at? 20? Hopeless
Did he realise it hit the back pad? He’s made a mess of the referrals.Paine is unfortunately a poor judge. Must support your bowler when he's that keen.

Only one result for this test.
2-2 overall seems about right. Two mediocre teams with a few standout performances.
It’s the first time we’ve held onto them over there since 2001, so a lot of people may think that’s worth commemorating.Yeah 2-2 drawn series puts a completely different slant on things. So obviously we won’t have won the series only drawn it. Retaining the Ashes IMO is different to winning the Ashes.
Saw on the telecast last night there’s memorabilia commemorating the series. I thought that was a bit ... I dunno, presumptuous. Do you really want to commemorate a drawn series?
Arthur Morris 182, Bradman 173 no, 3/404.Didn't Bradman make a big score and lead a chase of 400 in England?
If Smith wants to be the new Bradman this is his chance.
Survived the first over, already his best innings for 2 & 1/2 tests.I reckon Warner should come out blazing here, try and smash his way into some form.
