Fingers crossed that Cummins doesn't break down. He's had a massive workload having played all 5 tests, and has already bowled 30 overs in this test, with England early in their 2nd innings.

A breakthrough! Lyon snares one against the flow as he and Siddle were bowling poo.

England 1/54 lead by 123

Sheesh that’s a fragile batting top 5 (not including Labuschagne and Smith) : Harris, Warner, Wade, Marsh, Paine.

Surely one of them has to stand up.
Worst we have sent to England in many a year probably since 1985 when the rebel tour decimated playing stocks.

What’s the highest score Smith has come to the cease at? 20? Hopeless

England 2/93, lead by 162. Barring an 8/80 type collapse this is gunna get ugly.

Only one result for this test.

2-2 overall seems about right. Two mediocre teams with a few standout performances.

Yeah 2-2 drawn series puts a completely different slant on things. So obviously we won’t have won the series only drawn it. Retaining the Ashes in a drawn series, IMO, is different to winning the Ashes.

Saw on the telecast last night there’s memorabilia commemorating the series. I thought that was a bit ... I dunno, presumptuous. Do you really want to commemorate a drawn series?

It’s the first time we’ve held onto them over there since 2001, so a lot of people may think that’s worth commemorating.

Posted yesterday that The Ocal was a chaser's wicket, based on 59% of teams batting last getting the win. Apparently the record Test chase is 250-odd. Helps to have context...

Marsh's bowling average has dropped from 43.9 to 38.5 after this match. To get his batting average up to 28.5 he only has to make 160 not out.
