Changes V Lions

Easy money kids.
Castagna to be leading goal scorer.
He loves the little cubs. And he will kick straight.
And please remember 'Gamble Responsibly'

One player we have to match it with is Cameron. He is a gun player. Who will take him on I wonder?

McIntosh or Ross needs to not woryy about touching the ball, there job should be as soon as Neale touches it they slammed in a tackle.
He has been allowed to play without any attention for the last 9 weeks, its time to end it.
We will do what hawthorn did to them in round 1. Sniff Brown shorts all afternoon

Not feeling good about this game. I thought last year the Lions would end up being our bogey team. Just too many quick bullish mids and some great defenders. We have so many injuries and they dont.

Just watching a replay of last night's match... didn't realise it was Brisbane's 15th straight win in Qld... just another reason to put em to the sword on Tuesday!

Markov looked solid down back. If any player looks to be struggling in the backline ATM it is Short. Always seems to get caught behind his man and soft as butter one on one but that's the price we pay so he can kick the ball forward. Surely we can do better.

In: Vlaus Out: Short

Won't happen though

I love Rioli unfortunately he is as out of form as you can get. Fumbly, lethargic and disconnected.

You're kidding aren't you?

Short? There's an argument he's been our outright best player all year.

In 2020 at Richmond he is:

Number 1 for disposals.
Number 1 for kicks
Number 1 for marks
Number 1 for disposal efficiency
Number 1 for metres gained
Number 6 for contested possessions (only behind midfielders and equal with Baker)

He's playing as an attacking defender. And doing extremely well. Dropping him would be about as sensible as dropping Dusty.

Did you miss our two games against them last year? Grimesy will take him for sure.

if only we had a defender with a track record against him, someone who completely shut him down in a couple of big games late last year.
i reckon shorty gets him.

.......

When every one is available I see our
side going into finals looking like this:

B Vlastuin Astbury Grimes
HB Markov Balta Houli
C Broad Cotchin Pickett
HF Rioli Edwards Lambert
F Chol MartIn Lynch
R Soldo Bolton Prestia
I/C Baker Castagna Riewoldt (call me sentimental), and Stack

Em from Aarts Egglemosse-Smith lGraham Higgins McIntosh Nankervis Ross and Short.
i like Markov but unless something drastic happens he wont be lining up in our back line ahead of Broad and Short. he is at best our 9th best back man
Likewise Higgins is well in our best team, at this point.

So Broad to the back line. Caddy to the wing.
Higgins to the bench for Stack, and Short in for whoever is injured. (or maybe Chol- not sure who comes out of the back line though.)

maybe they don’t count the losses during finals.

Spot on. But let’s not let the facts stand in the way of some people’s ongoing agenda against Shorty.....
