No idea who the publicly funded left-wing media is, certainly not the ABC, they are just not left wing, unless of course you consider Murdoch and his right wing cheer squad to be somewhere near the centre.
Lots of blame to go around, hardly surprising given the situation. In terms of actual policy not implemented on the run in a crisis, but implemented in normal times, the aged care policies of the Howard government have to be one of the worst examples of ideologically driven free market fundamentalism, well free market in name because the neo-libs don't mind a nice big subsidy when it is heading their way.
Enough of that.
Not a bad result today. We are hopefully on a plateau on the way down. Still a roller coaster. The 7 day trailing average lags so is still going down, but the 5 day rolling average shows we are plateauing at the moment. We'll see where it goes from here:
Promising signs, but, as we have seen before, it takes time to see the impact of things like the Stage 4 restrictions with this virus. Just a function of the asymptomatic cases and the length of time people seem to be contagious.
