Prestia !!

KB got his first soft tissue injury in his second last game. Avoided stretching exercises because he couldn't do them. Absolute freak of nature. Speed and evasiveness used to drive the taggers and snipers totally bonkers! At this stage our unsurpassed champion.

I dont think Dion will play a part in our defence.

Too risky bringing a bloke back in a final.

Hope sheds gets up early with GAJ.

With sheds and $hai firing, we can cover dion

Both him and Dave needed minor procedures after surgery again get right first time not happy with fitness staff.

Its disappointing, but unfortunately these things happen. I reckon the medical staff have gotten a lot right so its a bit harsh to judge them.

Prestia has had a history of long term issues, so in some ways its not surprising. But it would make a big difference to our fortunes to have him out there!

Might be time to start preparing for the finals without him and if he makes it thats a bonus.

Syndesmosis ligamentus injuries and even associated bone injury and fractures that can be involved are not a one size fits all recovery and injury.

Fractures involved in most severe syndesmosis injuries along with separation of the tibia and fibula bones are often spiral fractures due to the rotational forces often involved in the mechanism of injury.

Obviously there are different degrees of severity with this injury but it can be a difficult injury to get right expediently regardless.

Nank is going to make it on the park what we don't know is how effective he will be but its looking like Dion is less likely at this stage.

Will be interesting to see how the club goes about it.

What exactly is syndesmosis craig?

And how come noone has oesteo pubis anymore?

Do these things change names?

More chance seeing Coughlan this year then Prestia.
He always struggles coming back from injury.
If he isn't ready by round 17 or 18.
Hold him off till next year.
Rather have 100% in 2021 then have miss more games due to his ankle injury.
Ankles take ages to fully recover.
Just ask Butler & Foley.

And Ross and Stack

E Z mate syndesmosis in simple terms is just the area where the tibia and fibula bones meet up together at the ankle joint, thus they call it a high ankle sprain.

This joint is supported by ligaments which are the syndesmosis ligaments.

When these ligaments are stretched torn or strained the two main lower leg bones (Tibia and Fibula can be separated from each other).

In severe injuries sheering injuries twisting with high rotation force the fibula bone can often be fractured or even the Tibia in high velocity and impact trauma injuries.

When players do ankle injuries the Drs and Physios can gauge the strength or integrity of the joint by squeezing the ankle from the back bone fibula and pain and instability or even crepitus from it can often indicate a syndesmosis injury with pain aiding in severity of ligamental injury possible bone separation, or even lend suspicion to any possibilty of fracture but I'm no specialist here.

Dont know about the old OP i'm sure its still around but its returned to being a passe chronic groin injuriy.

Big Richo might have a better explanation Im' not involved in Osteo or Physio.
