After tonight I feel that Balta should be also pinch hitting in the ruck so don’t agree. Who is going to help Nank in the ruck when Lynch comes back for Chol?

The hindsight selection from tonight’s game would be Markov in to play on Cameron. Grimes the general last line of defence. And Balta the defensive ruck and Nank the forward ruckman.
hed be pretty good in that role, however I’m a big fan of building our defence around Balta , I’d go with Nank rucking , Lynch and Jack taking the odd throw in forward and Balta the odd one down back, definitely not Dusty in the ruck FFS the best player in the game and he was effectively out of those throw ins .

Although not ideal, I actually think the extra game if we can win next week might be a blessing in disguise with Edwards, Prestia, Astbury, Houli getting another game into them. Up against it though. Have to do it the hard way now.
I'm seriousness, I think that's a good point
But if you listened to J Brown, it is an even better advantage to go out in straights a couple of times.

Shouldve waited. No need to rush and sign him up.

Why is he not worth the contract, was good today. Consistent effort from Jack today. 16 disposals at 87%, 9 tackles (team high), 4 score involvements (team high).

Plenty of other areas to be concerned about before you look at Graham.

I thought Lambert was pretty good, you must have been watching a different game to me.
Lambert has that many credits in the bank, he could go another year and not get a kick but would still be in the first 5 picked EVERY week ................. "putrid" , seriously ?..........sure you aren't getting him mixed up with George or Chol maybe ?

Depending on who we play next week I can't see us changing the defensive structure. Saints play with 3 tall forwards, Dogs play with a couple. Reckon more so, we needed more connection in the forward line, we needed better ball use going inside 50.

Dusty's kicked poorly for a few weeks in a row, he rarely makes it 3 in a row.
With Lynch back it won’t be a problem, I’m just saying Id always start with Balta in the key back role

I don't know what to make of Pickett. He's either brilliant or horrible.

Yeah Dusty in the ruck was dumb. Never ever looked like he was going to be able to compete, gave away 2 frees and a dodgy 50m penalty when he was in there. Hopefully thats the last time we look at that. It really shows how little Chol offers when we need to risk Dusty in the ruck against brutes like Martin.

Andrews was dominant tonight. Didn’t appear to get out of second gear. He got a bit of a lesson from Lynch last time. If we can go the long way we will turn the tables on the lions. But we are still two wins from a GF berth. Exactly the same as were at 7:50pm.

Hope Hardwick doesn’t focus on the umpiring at the presser. Would be a mistake.
Respectfully disagree Lee, time to call it out. I like how he mentioned adjusting to the "adjudicating" at half time.

We can't continue to be even in almost all stats but Brisbane be double, at times nearly triple the free kicks. It's a farce

*smile* up highlight them.
Do a Fagan and spill the numbers.
Flappers gets bump after taking a mark no 50.
Zorko falls over and that weed calls 50 straight Away.
Robinson grabs Balta and pushes him.
Not even a free kick.
Rich drops the ball, play on 11 seconds later Brisbane kick a goal.

They make a difference.
Why was that a block against Astbury??

I think it more of a coaching issue than one player affecting the other. Both Dave and Noah are needed and the coaches need to work out their symmetry for next week
I think it’s as sim0le as DTLD has been the Gorilla tamer and while he was out Balta took his role and imho did a better job overall, however now DTLD his gone back to his usual role and Balta is trying to get in sync in his new new role, hard for the lads after just 2 games

Clearances were 38/37. Nank was Ok.. Ruck wasn't a problem
Agree 100% .................. now would it be nice to have another option to give Nank a chop-out ?... absolutely it would, my choice would be Balta, use his athleticism around the ground also now that Astbury is back.

I don't know what to make of Pickett. He's either brilliant or horrible.

I'm not sure he's ever been brilliant. He's been good in some games, but the general and ongoing issue with him is kicking efficiency. He's a useless kick. I look at that one in the final quarter, I can't remember who went outside but he burnt them and then kicked inside 50, very wide and kicked it out on the full, but my bigger issue is if thats where he meant to kick the ball, its just awful ball use anyway. He was in the corridor and to go so wide you kick it out on the full, even if George managed to mark it in plat its a low % chance at goal anyway.

I've seen that over and over from him. You compare the output of say McCluggage with what Pickett gives us going forward and its not enough.

Pickett out and Caddy in on the wing for mine.

How did the goal umpire miss Bolton’s kick clipping the post? He would’ve been right behind it.

Deflating moment.
Bolton knew it hit the post as well. I was stunned when he hardly reacted to what would have been easily the best goal of the year.

It's a game of millimetres. If that's a goal then we are less than a goal down with momentum.
