Missed the pre season due to basketball commitments so club said if you can’t be here for pre season, you can’t be in leadership group . Missed 4 weeks training . She is clearly the fittest player in the entire competition. And easily best player at the club . Very harsh decision. Considering 2 players traded in are in the leadership. . Mon won the B&F last year as wellNot a criticism at all, however does anyone know why ContI is not in the leadership group ?
We are close to a win.
Very close.
The result today tells nothing of the story, in which a very Richmondy women's outfit took all the time and space away from a normally composed Collingwood.
Fierce attack on the ball carrier, with other people guarding the outlets? Moving the ball forward with every touch? Giving them nothing on the kick out? Running in numbers straight down the middle? Where have I seen that before?
You can see it starting to click.
Mon Conti is Dusty in tight, but unfortunately Dangerfield with time and space. Jet, with things to work on.
Brennan should play wing from now on.
Gabbie Seymour and Sabrina are a very effective ruck combo, and our midfield beat one of the best in it today. Brancatisano, Hosking, Burchall and Jacques are all good footballers.
Our backline is solid, very unlucky to concede as many as they did today (both through umpiring and the bounce of the ball). Is Cordner the best intercept mark in the league?
Forward line is the big issue. Ellie McKenzie will be a star, but we need to get more speed, and skill in the forward fifty. Absolutely butchered half a dozen free goals.
And why does Razor Ray insist on ruining every game of football I watch?
Honestly, you could market AFLW on the absence of Razor. If you had it.
watched this game.
1. McKenzie looked like the classiest player on the ground. Star in the making?
I have written a few times that Brennan would be far better behind the ball. In that last qtr especially she was great and the team looked far more dangerous.watched this game.

2. Brennan played great up the ground.
3. Love how Conti goes in.
a dreadful fundamental error passage in our defensive goal square after our full back kicked 20m OOTF, then our defender held onto the forward, when the kicker was having a shot for goal, and if she had honoured the lead, it would have gone about 10m and been play on. I didn't mind the game, but that passage was like U12's.
Watched the Crows V Freo and this game looked a league below I thought.

Yeah that was awful game sense because on top of that the clock had run out so even if they passed it the siren would sound before the mark. Literally the only thing they couldn't afford to do was give away a free kick.
That aside though, I was impressed with the performance overall. I think given we were drawing from a heavily spent talent pool to begin with, we are doing a pretty good job of building a side.
I'm gonna grab some popcorn & wait for TBR to respondWorst umpiring I’ve seen since our men’s season last year.
Some crucial, disgraceful decisions directly in front of goals has gifted the opposition gimme goals in all 3 games, highlighted by the fact that most games are low scoring affairs.
At our end it’s play on.
The bias runs deep within the umpiring fraternity
Not at all, I can just picture it now. The umpires about to run out on the ground when they are called into a room with the lights off inside.
The light of a single candle flickers on a cloaked, hooded figure's face, the evil mastermind Ray Chamberlain.
"Before we take the field today, you need to know something," he says. "To umpire, is to be anti-Tiger. It is the sacred vow we all take".
They then say the sacred chant, drink the blood of an endangered Sumatran tiger cub, wipe their mouths on Jack Dyer's first guernsey, and head out on the field ready to screw us again.
