Welcome to Tiger land Riley Collier’Dawkins

So in his last 6 games he’s had 3 very good AFL games , 1 poor one, 1 very good VFL game then one poor AFL game, most times we’d be happy with that progression. im not as bigger fan as I once was , thought we had something with a bit of X about him, however he’s a take the risk and trade now for me , in saying that IIke the other kids I’d like to see him keep getting games , let him have his head a bit

I honestly thought he made a difference last night when he was around the ball, 4 clearances in 63% game time

Still very much at the start of his career and not everybody is a Dusty or Cotch but overall I reckon his game is on an upwards directory and as he matures will be a very valuable player for us

I hope your right UKT , I certainly don’t expect us to be lucky enough to find another Dusty or Cotch for quite sometime , was along time since Bartlett , Rioli, Raines and Weightman . RCD has tools no doubt, I’m just seeing habits I don’t like , That’s why I’d risk a “sell” now , same with Ross , though doubt his worth anything now, imho Dow and Martyn are the 2 kids worth putting the midfield time into, actually I’d like to see Dow get more game time by playing a bit across half forward , get some outside ball with his pace.

What do you see in Martyn that's not practically identical to Ross?

Cleaner in tight , seems stronger ,though that maybe as his playing against other kids not seasoned AFL players , not that Ross shirks a contest , I think MartYn is elite tough, genuine bull , lacks a yard like Ross though , just see him better in all aspects and coming from a lesser junior standard I see him having more improvement left in him.

He really needs a huge preseason otherwise he will join the likes of the Ellis twins, Higgins & lennon.
Really disappointed that he couldnt run out a game.
The club needs a increase his tank

Not a two way runner like Prestia and unfortunately SLOW AS. A midfielder who had 5 kicks for the whole game. Fumbled that crucial ball that led to that onslaught from Collingwood. IMO not good enough as is Naish and Ross and maybe Dow.

The silver lining in our injury cloud is that players like RCD get sustained AFL exposure.
It’s valuable for RCD and also vital for the List Management guys to see the supposed Next Gen in action.
Unfortunately I don’t think our Next Gen mids are up to the required level.
Hoping the LM have come to the same conclusion and can now attempt to rectify this.

Kid can play.... just not quite at the tempo yet and not quite a big enough tank... both can be achieved

Question marks on him. Lacks a lot defensively. Doesn't get enough of the pill. Hopefully he can improve into the player we need him to be.

If there are 2 juniors who need as much exposure for the rest of the year as possible it is Riley and Stackie.

The rest can rotate in and out,.

Moju needs a run before the year is out also.

We need a good extended look at Riley to see if he is on a positive trajectory.

We know what Syd can do, and its imperative we get him up and running.

Bit hard to dominate when you have no other midfielders around you. Kid is 2 years away from becoming a consistant performer. There is no senior midfielders around him to provide the support and structure. He keeps playing every game. If he had Nank, pre 2021 Cotchin, Prestia, fit Martin and Edwards then he looks a lot better. Will never be an endurance athlete but can become a tall midfield bull.
No VFL last year screwed a lot of our kids as they also had a late pre season start

Handy around goal. If he has natural game. If. He is a forward. The big sticks don't move.

Gets another year IMO.
