Limited footballer and an overrated kick. Lets put him up for trade and see what we can get for him.

If you looked at raw stats Short is easily having his best ever season.

Yet again though I hated his performance yesterday. Beaten regularly defensively & kicking that wasn't anywhere near precise enough.

He's had a disappointing season after winning the JDM last year. Exit meeting will be interesting. We must be wondering where he's at..

Stack, Rioli, Mansell and Baker are all better small back options than Short. Even if Houli retires there's no room for short in the backline.

either we trade him or re-purpose him as a small forward. and I'm not talking about a pressure forward - those days are over. he played forward as a junior and could provide a crumbing / goal kicking option. Time for Dimma to get creative over the pre-season.

Put him on the bloody wing. Surely with his dash could be a better option than Ross

Small forwards generally dont get to take kick outs, and get to run past for easy handball receives, so i am not sure Short would get much of the ball playing up forward.

He didnt even go for the marking contest and let his opponent mark the ball. Who then sealed the game with a goal.
Disagree.

Short did follow his man and was in the marking contest, but was too late (and Short) to spoil.

It was Stack who could have contested from the back, and impacted, but chose to stay down.

Short to the forward line in combination with Rioli to the backline would finally remove the scales from a lot of eyes.

Can’t remember disliking the game of a JDM so much. He started by calling for the handball when Shai had a set shot from 40. He ran to the wrong side and ends up snapping from outside 50. What a selfish git. Then he stunk it up again with kicks to nowhere. Would love to see him dropped but know it won’t happen. With Stack and Rioli being better defenders and better kicks he is redundant. Trade trade trade.

I wouldn’t be trading him but surely he’d have been spoken to about calling for the ball when in the wrong position. Pretty fundamental stuff, easy to address.

I've been saying trade Shorty but surprised to see the Pravda website is onto it.

Late in the third qtr when scores were still tight, we were deep in our defence. Nank had the pill n Shorty was desperately calling for the insignificant 15 metre pass inboard. Nearly put a can through the t.v. to try n shut Shorty up. Was always the time for a long down the line to a marking contest near the boundary, not *smile* finessin n fancy *smile*.

That call to Shai typified Shorts season this year. He is either a very selfish footballer or has very little football IQ.
