Josh Caddy

Does anyone else think it is a bit strange that RFC has a 3 minute 'Best Of Caddy' video up on it's website.
Is he retiring or something?, he has been out of favor for a couple of years now just seems weird to have a best of feature for him at this stage of the season.

They had his highlights up a few minutes before the retirement announcement came through so naturally answers my question.

Well done on being a 2 time Premiership player. Loved your time at the Tigers, particularly your toughness both physically and mentally.

Thanks for everything Cadds. It was fantastic to watch his 2017-2019 seasons. It hasn't worked for him since then, but he will always be a Richmond dual premiership player and life member.

Thanks for the memories, and if this was his decision, the selfless act to retire now and not wait it out until the end of the season.

Pushed I wonder?

Interesting to see what he does from here. Reckon he still has something to offer a club in need of a medium size forward
Not a bad outcome. I'd guess he gets paid out the year, and frees up a list spot. He wasn't in Dimma's plans for a while pity we couldn't have traded him start of 21. Anyhow.. I loved what he brought to Punt Road. . Skills and aggro.

Had a lot of time for Josh C.
Whilst not the most skilful player we had, he was an important cog in our premiership years.
Thanks for all your efforts Josh and wish you well for whatever the future holds for you.

Thank you, Josh Caddy. Selfless act retiring and handing us a pick in the mid-season draft. You will always be remembered as the “second forward” in the drought breaking premiership year.

Sure it will be spun that way, and quite possibly it's true. Bet me left nut that his manager got a full payout for that to happen though. Mind you, I don't have a problem with it..... win-win!

Great career at tigerland Cadds, premiership legend.
Took a while to settle into the team, and once he did was an integral part of our premierships.
Whenever he marked the ball in the right forward pocket, whether it be right on the boundary or 40 out, it was put down your glasses he never misses, which you can’t say about too many other tigers.
Well done on a great career at Richmond!

The list of dual premiership players is small and Josh is on it. Lived most young footballers dream.
