1. He looks like he has lost some confidence. Had a perfect sit to mark the ball in the last (we were on the wing and could see it), but didnt go for it - something he was doing in the 1st few games.
2. The coaches need to teach him how not to spoil back into the corridor
3. He looks a little confused at the moment with his role.

He's absolutely gonna be a Richmond legend.

But there's no shame in giving him a spell.

Had zero impact tonight, and makes it harder for Grimes and Broady and Vlastuin when he's not impacting the contest.

Needs a run in the VFL

No go to bed.
He is an 18yr old kid.
He plays as long is fit to play.

The spoils back toward goal and inward (miles worse than letting it out the back) are about confidence in his body to make contact in the spoil. Young Godcus is working wide of the contact and that forces him to hook the spoil.

We've managed our young star with progressively reduced roles over recent weeks.

Now it's time to look at the TOG.

Sydney - 94%
Port - 85%
Carl - 74%
Geel - 71%

The TOG is an indication of coach confidence. We've seen the assignments scaled back. And the TOG.

I am fascinated to see how the club handles this from here.

Godcus might be the greatest first year Richmond tall since Matthew Richardson. But he is fallible. Spoiling lessons required. A week off won't hurt him either. Freshen.

Looks like he needs a week off to me, looks down on confidence, but the coaches will know best.

I don't like him being swung all over the place. Give him a spot either down back or forward and leave him. Having said that, probably in line for a break anyway.

This is how I feel.
He needs a week off, not playing in the twos but a week to put the feet up and try to refresh.
His confidence looks down. Earlier in the year he was playing with authority now he is hesitant and unsure.

I would give him the week off and then let him come back through the VFL. Let him wipe the floor with a couple of second tier key forwards and be able to enjoy it.
Footy looks hard work for him at the moment.

Wrote the same thing last week too Spook.
He looks down on confidence - mix of fatigue and being swung around a bit? Some of his kicks these last 3 weeks have just missed their target.

He needs to learn not to spoil back into the contest. He should be happy with his year so far.

Balta's injuries havent helped him get a rest.

Needs to go back to full back at VFL and start taking intercept marks, which has been non existent at top level
