I used to respect him but that's over the line for me now. He's as despicable as Dangerfield, the grub.
You wouldn’t wish an acl on anyone, but it would be karma if it happened to Duckwood, even better if it happens next week against #lolnorf.

the AFLs so-called 'concussion' agenda is soft policy.

honourable mention: Joel Selwood - I know a great therapist, because you're a mess.
Duckwood...too many hits to the head...done for!
Will spend his ageing days in a wheel chair both grinning and dribbling...

He raised the shoulder into Dions head at the last moment. He knew exactly what he was doing.

Yep. Lined him up from at least 6-7m away and lifted his shoulder into his head. *smile* act. But he’s a great character. What weight should the opinion of his coach or captain carry? They are hopelessly compromised opinions.

4 weeks, I thought they would get it down to 2 or 3 but the media sh*tstorm prevented that. The response of the media, combined with the agenda of the boy's club at the AFL, determines who gets rubbed out and for how long. Too many voices stating the obvious that Stewart had gone past the ball to bump. The bump, well I don't think Stewart meant to concuss Prestia but he would have known it was a fair probability given that Prestia was not in a position to avoid the bump and is 6 inches shorter.

Glad they didn't get away with reducing it below 4 weeks. Was likely the best we could hope for.

If Stewart had a reputation it is now in tatters.

Was this deliberate? It was clear Geelong were targetting Richmond players and going for the body to try and gain an unfair advantage. That fits with trying to bump an important player and possibly get him out of the game for a period. Whatever it takes I suppose.

The AFL yet again show that they really don't care at all about player welfare. If they were serious about the head being sacrosanct then Dangerfield would have at least been sent to the tribunal after the 2020 GF and this would have received a longer suspension. They really are a contemptible organisation.

Let's just hope Dion Prestia is ok and doesn't suffer any long term effects, this is more important than the penalty.

What a joke of a suspension. We all knew this would happen.

A guy is knocked out and possibly will have long term health effects, and the other guy simply misses a month of footy. Love how the media frame it as a 'monstrous' penalty. What BS. If the AFL was serious about protecting the head, 6 weeks at a minimum.

I didn't think I could dislike another club another more prior to the incident.....nothing would be sweeter than seeing these scumbags go out in straight sets in September. I hope fans have long memories and make as much noise against Stewart for the rest of his career. This kind of thuggery is just cowardly. I'm so sick of this good bloke nonsense. It was premeditated and as intentional an act as you will see.

As soon as it was graded careless we all knew the fix was on.

If there was ever a case for intentional this was it.
This in a nutshell.
Everything was set before they walked into the tribunal.
3 minimum - 4 maximum

For all Bomber Thompson’s issues Geelong was a great team with great players when he coached them. They played a great brand of footy and they played it the right way. Most of the footy world had great respect for them. Selwood was part of that but he lost my respect a long time ago.

Chris Scott is the architect of the absolute arsewipe of a club that Geelong has become. Ever since he has been there they have turned into a bunch of whinging, sooking, bleating turds. Playing homes games at the G, finals at the G, players like Selwood whinging at umpires every time they don’t get a free kick, Dangerfield staging and making everything about him (remember the 2020 GF lead up; Danger deserves a flag!), Hawkins getting away with illegal pushing and shoving in every marking contest; destroyed Soldo’s knee. None of that stuff happened when Bomber was coach. Home games and finals at the G only became an issue when Richmond beat them for the first time in 11 years. We destroyed them and they couldn’t deal with it.

Salty has turned that club into the AFL’s version of a public toilet. They are scum.

There are some good people there and I am sure they care about concussion injuries.

The problem has more to do with the influence Steve Hocking had and now Brad Scott and through him brother Chris have been able to exert on the game, (to bring about conclusions which favour Geelong).
Rule changes and MRO decisions are the two most obvious areas of this influence.

This was a massive conflict of interest arising when Hocking was GM Football, and the same issue remains with B Scott succeeding him.
Expect more of the same until he is gone.

Of course the TS penalty was 'monstrous'...
Monstrously inadequate...

I think I'm most angry about this entire process because the AFL graded it as careless.

How's the lawyer? Only .39 of a second to make his decision? That's an eternity in a footballers mind.
Stewart definitely knew what he was doing. He may genuinely regret the outcome but the intent was there.
