Footy Classified

The AFL need to be brought to heel in regards to the treatment of RFC and all AFL fans.

An online petition demanding the AFL to show evidence of the unequivocal vision of the ARC's decision is in order.
Well, as you would know Toigs, Major League Baseball has 3D technology that can tell if a 100 mph bending pitch is high, low, wide left, wide right and takes into account all of that over the entire depth, width and height of the plate and strike zone. And they don’t have any posts to help them either !

Surely there’s much better technology. Surely.

When Geelong was linked to Hopper it was the opening segment now that we have interviewed him he is yesterday's news.

The AFL is quite chuffed with McChins 2D technology, what a disgrace and embarrassment.

It's akin to showing the photo of Viewed (pardon the pun) and Bauer a stride before, and after the post in the Melbourne Cup.

Wait, Fat Ed owns the ARC company? The bloke who's rightly been banging on for years that you can't solve a 3D problem with a 2D image?

He really will do anything for a buck.

Yes good call...pardon the pun.

Yet, funnily enough the call is still always based on the home plate umpire with a bit of help from the 1st and 3rd base umpire for help with whether the batter swung or not. That technology in MLB is basically for the viewers only. Almost the opposite to what we have in the AFL where they either hide the real footage or most likely just guess.

MLB actually want to run with it and do away with the home plate umpire. Make every pitch call an electronic one.

The only thing holding them back are unions, tradition and the aesthetics of the game.

The AFL will never release the footage because there is none.

If they had it there is no reason why they wouldn’t have released it by now to put this to bed.

The AFL know that this could become a real problem for them because if the footage they have is still open to interpretation could lead down a litigious path that they definitely don’t want.

It’s a clear case of let’s stay silent on the matter and let it blow away in the wind.
yep, they are happy for "unnamed sources" to keep suggesting there is, and for the media to keep repeating it, and by next weekend it will be a forgotten subject amongst the wider football world, but non-Tigers will 'remember' that there is unseen footage that confirms the fARCe decision.

I was happy to hear Dimma say last night that they owed it to the members to investigate & that a poor decision like that (against previous protocols) potentially leads to the loss of jobs & income. It's now out there that we've put in an official complaint..

Any RFC complaint goes straight in Gilligan's complaints inbox.

Its like the old Joseph Smith Book of Mormon trick. Found the solid gold tablets with the extra commandments from God in the bush, but God told him not to show anyone. But he wrote it all down in the book FYI.

Much better than my ex who could do 20 year grudges in her sleep. I think it was like a mantra.

Found it interesting when Caro was saying the league still hates the club stemming from 2020 and aren’t a fan of Gale either. How much $$ did they pull through the turnstiles during those glory years of ours?

They have footage but won’t release it? Surely nobody believes that. Biggest load of garbage I’ve ever heard.

What a corrupt joke of an organisation.
Can I like this 1000 times please ?

Anyone know what Demetriou said about Benny? Another thing Caro said was Demetriou was on radio, 3AW?, saying there were 'knocks' on Benny for the AFL CEO posi. It was part of her evidence of an AFL grudge against us.

Surprise surprise. Benny ain't in the boys club, of course there are knocks on him from the AFL insiders. They don't want anyone upsetting their cushy applecart. How's the hide of the dodgey prick?

Edit, just googled it and found the interview, Demetriou actually says, paraphrasing, 'I'm not sure why there's a knock on BG, he's a quality candidate I would have thought', then talks up Benny's achievments.

So Caro wasn't bagging AD, she was just highlighting that AD mentioned there was a knock, and he would know.

Even if they did find vision what 5 days later and counting really pathetic. You can see there is a real disconnect between the afl and our club it's getting worse. The decisions we have copped in one season is bewildering the Swans one and now this.

Also, we would lose the fun part of the game where the manager comes out and loses his nut in the face of the home plate umpire and then gets ejected....It wouldn't look quite right coming out and kicking dirt onto the electronic ARC/VAR ump!

Yeah, Demestos said nothing bad about Benny, in fact praised him and his credentials, but hinted that he's not liked in AFL House.

Benny would be good for the game, but as long as he still has the passion and drive for RFC, the AFL can fARC off

Corrupt institutions/organizations do not appoint honest people with integrity, hence Benny is highly unlikely.
