Welcome Tylar Young

This kid is an absolute find.
He is a gun.
Straight swap for Grimes.

If this was his base year, I think I'm gunna enjoy watching him play over the future years, he's got some serious good game. Now if only our mids n forwards could stop letting so much easy uncontested footy flow into our back fifty, we'd be okay.

All day I have been hearing how there's a dearth of key defenders in the competition & clubs are (apparently) going to pay McKay & Ratagalea big money..

Well I don't see their names (sic) on this list..

What a bloody great first season Tylar had. Diamond in the rough!!
Young is already showing more than McKay and Esava and he's only been playing a short time.

Young, Bauer, Coulthard might be the 3 bargains that help paper over some other recruiting mistakes.

Spot on.; other clubs will come hard for Young as he continues his trajectory. Those big defenders with an ability to negate and also be part of the forward ball movement are gold right now.

No fuss, no frills, just got the job done more often than not this year.

Has so much improvement left in him.
He will become a real weapon when he has the confidence to take the game on a bit more.

He showed all this in the VFL last season. And he has progressed to AFL easily. Plenty to like.

Gibcus getting injured was a real sliding door moment for Tylar, as I suspect he wouldn't have played much footy if Gibcus didn't ping his hammy.
Looking forward to Tylar being our long term replacement for Astbury who has been a big loss.

I suspect Gibcus will have to quickly replace Grimes but in the short term, Young’s emergence provides an opportunity to try Gibcus forward.

It’d be handy to have a 196 athletic forward who can jump, mark & kick straight.

we have three swingmen types (Gibus, Bauer & Balta), if we get another tall, I believe with Lynch and these swingmen types we will be flexible and deadly.

Lynch is the worry. As far as we know he hasnt made any progress since he was injured 5-6 months back. Just don't know.

So what you’re saying is those recruits papered over the recruiting mistakes. So these weren’t mistakes? Right. Got it. :ROFLMAO:

Similar to Austbury. No frills shut down defender
