Kane McAuliffe

Who do u see oldie? Coughlan? - I can def see that. I also see a bit of patty cripps at the same age.
I can see the Oliver comparisons tbh. Possibly a better kick.

Won't get too excited until we see him at AFL level but he's waay too good for VFL already.

Have we snagged a ripper? It's exciting 8ty.

I will also wait until we see him at senior level but the signs are superb. Some guys just look an afl player from day one - and I have had that feeling since first seeing him in the intra club.

If he can translate it to AFL level then that will go a long way to solving our current future midfield issues - he will be a star.

Is this the footy gods' apology for Hopper? The comparisons so far are slow players (apart from Dangerdive, Warner, Oliver & Ricciuto), McAuliffe is far from that.

He has explosiveness and an ergonomic gait that gets him to the places from which to explode.

Put another way, he has genuine speed and footy speed, and a gearbox

Im still shaking my head

Trying to process the circumstances under which he arrived at RFC

Have i told the story of shane edwards getting to richmond?

Pull up a seat.

Brisbanes SA recruiter said to them 'this is the hill i will die on'

Brisbane took the kid from
Mt gravatt, albert proud, at 22

Richmond took shane edwards at 26

SA recruiter quit at 27

I recount that tale,

Because the significant romantic in me,

Wonders if he works for us now?

The one I saw from the current group of players is Chad Warner.

It's MC F*CKIN-A!

he responded to Macca after the game.

I went 'hey Macca, great game son. welcome to Tigerland. this is gonna be a long and fruitful relationship'

he smiled and went 'thanks mate'

yeah both come in next week.

amidst all that dynasty stuff,

I'd lost touch with the joy of discovery, of dreaming.

whodda thought it find it at Metricon, in march?

Is this The People's Stadium some kind of Utopia?

I feel like a crazy kid with a dream again.

go tiger
Has a very 1994 feel to it where we desperadoes see greatness in amongst the dark shadows

Did you also say 'great game number 45' to Kaleb Smith?

(Note to others, Ezy texted me from the game yesterday: 'I like this #45 for us. Quick af. Who is he?'
Me: 'There is no #45. Sure you don't mean Kaleb Smith in 49?
Ezy: 'I think I can tell the difference between a 5 and a 9, ya fkn tripper.
Me, today: 'I don't think you can.')
