Round 4: the root canal games.

Suns would be happy with their FYPs, the hyped big men, top 10 picks Walter and Read, contributed and didn't look out of place, the much less hyped Graham solid, and much much less hyped Clohessy killed it, 22d 8m 489m !!. Few good players coming out of Darley lately, Butters, Cadman, Clohessy (Darley via Cooly).

Bloody hated Gerard Healy parroting a Dimmaism in his commentary, what new toys can i play with next?

The GC academy one of the biggest rorts in footy IMO, at the very least they should be forced to pay top dollar and if they go into a deficit in points then too bad they miss out.

The Blues beat all those last year (including two of them in finals) and people still said they were no good, so let's all save the trouble of waiting and just get stuck in now: soft, spoiled, lazy, overrated, pea-hearted pretenders who still p1ss the bed, get constantly loved up by the umpires and enjoy crotechting, choosing soft pastel shades for bed linens and trying on outfits in their spare time.

It will be me saying it (losses) or you (wins) or both (losses).

I feel better already.
As an aside Richmond beat 3 of them last year as well. Geelong, Sydney and GWS.
The blues side is interesting. In many ways it is a side built trading rather than drafting. 11 of the 23 who played on the weekend started at other clubs. Richmond had 3.
Not saying there is anything wrong with it necessarily but it may say that Carlton have been much more successful at the trade table than they have been drafting and developing.

Geez I’m glad I don’t play afl.
Those pricks would have hung, drawn and quartered me 30 times. Suspended me for 400 games and fined me several $million.
Just because I call it as I see it. Just because I believe I have a god given right to speak my mind. It’s my religious belief to speak openly and honestly without fear or favour.
I’ve been bullied and harassed and its affected my mental health!
I thought there were laws against bullying, harassment and mental assault. The afl can gagf.

Where’s my right to freedom of speech? Freedom of religion? I’m gonna check our Constitution to see if it’s in there.

Can you call a *smile* a *smile*? Or is that a homophobic slur. What if he was, Is it still a slur? How can a fact be homphobic? Or is it because a nick name was used?
What if he called out “ hey *********** ya homosexual” or “hey ******** ya lbqtiabd+ “ or “hey ******* ya gay” if that was his sexual persuasion? They can call themselves “gay” , lbqtiabd+, or homosexual so none of those terms are homophobic or slurs.

It's pure virtue signaling from the ESGAFL.

All BS sort it behind closed doors if it is really an issue and genuine offence is taken. This stuff can be handled quietly amongst the clubs.

No need for the BS roll out across the media leading news Bulletins either.

Pure social engineering activism nothing more nothing less.

Yeah as if there aren’t bigger issues in the world to deal with. *smile* me, name calling and it’s national news.
Now where’s that Sam Kerr thread….

The Blues have attracted a lot of talent from other teams. Generally you have to pay top dollar to drag a player over from their current club.

Given the number of players from elsewhere and how many big name players they have, exactly how do they fit under the salary cap?

Don't worry, its not.

No freedom of speech in the Australian Constitution, can't think of where Freedom of Religion would be either. There is no equivalent to a Bill of Rights or anything like that in the Australian Constitution.

The High Court did rule that there is an implied right to freedom of speech but that would be limited I reckon.

Because words have to be dealt with in their context.

Why would you say these things to a player if they were true? All it would be doing is pointing out difference to a person who probably will have struggled in their life with the fact they are in a marginalised portion of society.

The question to ask is whether you would say to someone else “ hey Jim ya heterosexual”. Of course you wouldn’t

I am not commenting on the Finlayson case which I haven’t really been following. Sometimes rules are made that are an overkill but as I said I haven’t been following what he said to who.

I assume they do because these things are checked.
