Welcome Liam Baker

Tried hard again today but little support. However, l am surprised he still has a head on his shoulders as the oppo keeping trying to rip it off and he gets no protection from the umps

Evidently the Yeo was incidental and he was trying to get the ball- so no free.

Makes a lot of sense for Bakes to go home & get a foothold in business in his home state before he retires.
There would be lots of opportunity for him.

Don't want him to go as he's a ripper but I'm not holding my breath on him staying with us given our current situation.

Makes sense not to buy investment property in Victoria.

Covid land tax
Check the smoke detector ten times a year.

State budget going up the wazoo due to profligate spending probably meaning more money grabs and restrictions in being able to pass the cost on to the tenants.

Bakes probably has some good advisors.

Baker is getting a lot of midfield minutes this year and that is skewing his numbers a bit.

But 20 touches and 1.4 goals a game. Elite HFF/MID. This is gold.

So Chimpa doesn’t think Big Shorts will be at Richmond next year. Maybe Dusty neither, but Big Shorts is being offered a massive sum that will be hard to knock back.

Would be a massive loss. He’s a leader. Popular. Sets standards for the younger guys (and others) with his commitment each week.

Don’t want to lose someone like that, at his age, while we’re rebuilding with young players.

Have to feel for Yze in his first season. Team blown to pieces by injury and constant chatter about players leaving.

Love the guy. One of my favorite players.
No way we should pay 1mil plus for Baker.
5 years x 1mil
we need to ream West Coast over....they are desperate and the recruiting guy will not play hardball with us.

Hate it but think about it in a transactional sense.

Rookie pick, dual premiership player and a potential large return on a minimum investment

I think from Cotch's comments the offer for Bakes will be too good to refuse and Dusty is a good chance to retire.

We could be in for a few years of pain.

Anyway there should be lots of picks for Toce to use. He seems to have a good grasp on the right type of player for the current game. A fair few of his picks look good at the Saints.

Once you've proven yourself (or not) at Bakes age, it is completely irrelevant where they were drafted.

It is what he is worth to us now that matters. Not where taken.
