Agree - want to see some of the other skills, especially kicking. At least we know he's a good markThat is a strange highlight package
15 marks 0 hand balls 0 kicks 0 play on and no running in 6 games
doesnt that seem strange ?

What is strava testing ,does it detect if someones running down a hill?much like the Strava 2km times, just a word of caution on standing vertical jumps .......
the boys first reach for their fingertip height, then jump, and the jump height is = 2-1.
I've seen boys minimise their fingertip height - slightly bent knees, slightly bent elbows, slightly bent fingers, slightly dropped shoulders,
then extend the lot on the jump.
you could get a 10cm compound error I reckon.
recruiters would know all this, hence why they go watch the testing.
Trade Period Net Loss / Gain Summary:
In:
Tarrant, Pick 27, Future 2nd Round (tied to norf)
Out:
CCJ, Chol, Pick 42, Pick 47, Future 3rd (to Lollingwood), Future 4th (to norf).
That's a clear FAIL.
Future 2nd Round (tied to norf)- CCJ- evens
Pick 27, - Pick 42, Pick 47, Future 3rd (to Lollingwood)- win to us.
Tarrant- Chol, Future 4th (to norf).- big win to us.
not sure how that makes a clear FAIL.
It was actually Pick 38 (end 2nd Rd pick), 40 (first pick of the 3rd round) and a Future 3rd for Pick 27. I don't mean to be critical but anyone who tries to sell that as a win is kidding themselves
That is a strange highlight package
15 marks 0 hand balls 0 kicks 0 play on and no running in 6 games

Half glass empty or half glass full? He will polarise for sure, his ball drop isn't great and may break down under extreme duress but I've seen worse. Esava Ratugalea had a pretty rotten technique but has improved greatly since being at a professional club. Most of the Sudanese guys have improved their kicking over time, Chol was a pretty good kick but there has been some noticeable improvement. Aliir Aliir has improved every year and is now an AA backman. Funny enough, the one Sudanese player who entered AFL with elite kicking stats was Buku Khamis and he's really struggled to cement a spot at the Doggies. I can certainly see the reluctance to grab Alleer with a second rounder but that is our current hand, so if we want him we need to pay up.Go and see if you can find a Sanfl match of alleer in it,and then tell me you would take him in the second round ,,you tube only show the good bits, matches show everything.
We can do a lot better than Alleer in the second round.Half glass empty or half glass full? You may be right, I had him pencilled in at 38 or 40 so maybe it's a slight reach, particularly if there are some classy mids available. If we trim down to 4 picks I'm pretty sure I don't take but if its five then I will be considering. We can do a lot better than Alleer in the second round.
If we had a fourth rounder yeah maybe,lm still thinking we might go KP with pick 15.You may be right, I had him pencilled in at 38 or 40 so maybe it's a slight reach, particularly if there are some classy mids available. Agree. I would be staggered if we pick up Alleer especially so earlier. He is your classic rookie type player. We can do a lot better than Alleer in the second round.
Its right there in print - you called the trade for pick 27 with Lollingwood a win - its so far from a win its not funny.your original post was about our entire trade period (so far). i was breaking down the ins and outs. you said the entire trade period has been a fail. i disagree.
He's had senior experience & two years of development, you tend to have to pay a premium. Some will have him 4th round to rookie, some will have him late second round. I have him around the the 40 mark, give or take.Agree. I would be staggered if we pick up Alleer especially so earlier. He is your classic rookie type player.
The only way we will know is judging the bloke picked in the third round next year. If that's pick 50 or thereabouts, I'm pretty certain the club won't be losing sleep. Its right there in print - you called the trade for pick 27 with Lollingwood a win - its so far from a win its not funny.
Hartley is the main man at Richmond ,he'll say to Clarke we need kp,forwards or backs etc ,go and rank them to our draft picks .He's had senior experience & two years of development, you tend to have to pay a premium. But looking at things in totality, this draft will be a failure if we don't manage to secure three core players, don't think you can afford to take a risk on Alleer if it's only 4 selections - not much room for error with the first 3 picks.
Hartley then goes the moneyball at the rookie draft and picks a experienced kp who might fill the void for a year or 2.
What is strava testing ,does it detect if someones running down a hill?
Reckon he'd be better suited in defence as a zone off intercepter as was his brother Ben at Colonwood. Shame both struggled with injuries throughout their careerIf you want an experienced kp to fill a void for a year or 2, then the best available is Sam Reid (Swans, not GWS).
Hasn't been offered a contract. Can play back as well. Perfect backup.
Probably had a pocket camera. We don’t want to show too much interest to the oppo.I looked at Johnson at the combine on the Afl website ,and he was doing the running jump, the Tiger recruiter in the back ground wasn't even watching,he was too busy yakking.
EFALOL - Sounds like Miller when JON wasplayingmowing his front lawn
