Who'd be after Caddy on what would have to be a 2 hr deal at least? North? GC? ST Kilda?
I don't think there would be a big queue. North would make sense IMO, Cadds would help their forward line and protect their young forwards.

See in today's Hun they've had a bunch of kids from the NAB league on display, seems that they're live streaming a different game each week of the U18 comp so fans n extended family can get a bit more of a look. There's a kid from Western Jets a midfielder that need to get on a list asap Billy Cootee. Would be the best name in the comp and the commentators would just love calling him.
Cooties getting in n under the pack.
Cooties on the spread.
As he lays a big tackle, Cooties all over him.
Who's playing on Cooties, there's no one going anywhere near him.

He's too small to play on talls. "Cooties on Cox" would therefore be a worry.

Heard on radio tonight that 203cm Sam Darcy, (son of Luke), is killing it at the moment and could even challenge Nick Daicos as number 1 pick. Uegal-Hagen last year and Sam Darcy this year the Bulldogs are having a bit of good fortune.

What picks do they have this year? Surely they are going to need to trade for some points? Could work out beautifully for us to get higher up the draft.

Just checked and they have practically NOTHING. Below was based on the end of April, think they are 1 spot lower in each now.

Simple enough, trade out this years early pick for a couple of mid tier picks that present similar face value then perhaps go slightly into deficit for next years draft, as you can always trade a surplus player next year if necessary to get back into a reasonable draft position. No harm at all in fudging around a bit of mediocre future potential to ensure first crack at a couple of elite first round picks.

Haven't they changed the rules to exclude father/son picks from the first round?

Seem to remember something about this earlier this year.

He's a good kid Darcy, they'd absolutely be picking on potential and backing their big men coaching in.

Nick Daicos would be playing in the current Collingwood team right now, and would be performing pretty well.

Big guys take longer, Darcy would be 2-3 years at best before he can contribute at all. It’s still worth the investment IF he is a top 5 pick. After that it’s spotty, we’ve done the research here. Dogs mids are stacked so it’s even more likely they take the punt regardless.

Still think if we keep our first two picks we can get a key forward and a really good mid.

If we had the chance, would you trade 2 of our lower picks (probably our 2nd and Gold Coasts 3rd) for the Dogs 1st if it meant they got more points for Darcy? Would end up giving us 3 1sts, Saints 2nd and then our 3rd for the next superstar of the comp.

I’d look at it. And the position we are in with I think the third most draft points, clubs will come to us for these types of deals.

The opportunities at years end are endless.

Agree, plenty of options to determine the best outcome for the RFC.

Take all 6 picks (but to do this, unless the AFL increases squad lists again, we need to find 6 to offload).
Trade up in this draft
Move picks into next years draft

Or a combination of all of them. Great position to be in.

I think we need to look at recruiting tall defenders. Charlie Fryer captain of Sturt u18 side here in Adelaide would be a quality pick and someone to look at here. Leadership skills, fills a need and a good up and coming footballer. Hope we give him a crack,
