I just read

Ross out for 8 weeks
Taranto with surgery today

Surely we are getting close to that typing point and the fact they are mostly long term injuries unbelievably frustrating.
Another way to look at it, we’ll get all our stars back in time for our run at the finals.

Meanwhile down on page 4.

Dropped in this morning to watch 2 x 20+ minute stints. (Forgot to close the back car door and got yelled at by the car.)

Rehab:
- Josh G and "The Tap" walking laps. Josh G. stopped and chatted. Is up, ahead of schedule and bouncy. Loves BC's.
- Tom L and Jacob B doing slow run throughs. Tom looking positive.
- Jayden doing 3/4 pace 100 meter run throughs. Had a set number he had to do and just motored through them.
- James T and Noah B doing 80% to 100% run throughs. 75 metre and 100 metre. All straight line. Noah still favouring a leg at times (not the taped up one). James T going pretty much flat out.
- Dion did at least some of the main training, the non-contact stuff, and then did run throughs.

Training
- Watched 3 separate drills. Skills and overlap running was the focus. Everybody heavily engaged and running/working hard. The guys looked very bouncy.
- No real stand outs. Skills were a focus especially on 30 to 40 meter kicks.
- Forward entry followed by a shot for goal was also a key focus.
- Oliver Hayes Brown was out there.

Things I did notice:
- In one contested mark situation Tom B. bodied up well and out marked Ben Miller. Ben was unimpressed.
- Noah C. heavily involved and getting lots of support.
- MJR took a number of strong overhead marks and also focussed on set shot goal kicking between drills.
- Mykelti acts more like he belongs and is louder and demanding the ball.
- Matt C. has sublime kicking skills.

Thanks HKTigga.

I too was looking for this thread and couldn't find it.

Can't blame Julius for somewhat losing interest.
It's just been a shiitshow year.
Still nice to hear how some of the young 'uns are going.
Our older players are some of the slowest healers in history.

Thanks so much for your post.

Ohh forgot to add, whilst Jacob H was taped up it didn't look that much and he was heavily involved and working hard.

Really hoped Matt C would have kicked on this year.

Hasn't really shot the lights out in the 2's

Great report, thanks HKT.

Did Grimes look like he will be playing on Wednesday?

...

Did Grimes look like he will be playing on Wednesday?

Yeah Dylan did all the training I saw.

In one drill he ended up as the forward taking a mark at about the 45 on a 45 degree angle. Morro the coach yells out "Take the shot". Dylan obliges. Noah B provides running commentary from about 10 meters away giving Dylan heaps. Grimesy slots the goal and pays Noah back in spades.

The above just highlighted to me how up and bouncy the guys were. Focused on good, skilled training, but still having fun and some good banter.
