Adem Yze

Grimesy really gave Mini a pump up on SEN this morning. I think we might have got this appointment wrong. I reckon the senior players would have bought in a lot better under Mini than Yze.
Load of bs he had 12 or 13 games and how many games we weren't competitive in a lot and we had more of the senior group on the park. Players wanted to be in there comfort zone. His a good speaker Mini , but he was a yes man and no ideas or different structures.

We're basically rebuilding completely on and off field. Some of the long term seniors like Grimesy may not have felt all that comfortable with the complete and total transformation.
He seemed to agree with what Gale said about Yze almost having a look this year, which I find a very strange way to go about it.

That part I don't understand either was he instructed by the club to do that because seems ridiculous it's like giving the coach the job , but not the keys.

With the influx of new kids coming this year is it a concern what dusty said about lack of discipline for the young players? Really need to make sure it’s a professional environment to get the best out of them.

I reckon there is / was somewhat of a disconnect between the kids and the premiership era players.

two separate groups within the club.

Probably mad it easier for the older guys to leave.

Relax. It’s all under control.
Yze wants to the new players to call him “The Dude”
Let me explain something to you. Um, I am not "Mr. Yze”. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, His Dudeness, or Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.

I think that was compounded by the fact that the older players weren't really performing either so they lost their authority.

Spoke well in the short clip on website. Stating the obvious but it's a massive year for him next year, can he take charge of this group, get them to buy in 100%, and implement the standards required in order to be a successful football team.

Not expecting much in terms of wins, but what goes on behind the scenes i think will determine his fate.

If he gets Lynch playing, we will surprise alot.
Remember we were the 1st team to end Sydney's plastic run.

Not holding my breath. Reckon he's on a hiding to nothing regardless.

Needs to develop into a senior coach and instil faith fast.

I'd hate to have any of these new 7-8 draftees walk.

Yze need to be given time. There is no silver bullet for Richmond, it is a real journey. Though the coach is a central figure, the culture of the club is so much more than one person.

Forget about wins in 2025 we're looking for green shoots and a structure and identity. I think Caracella will be important to this

I reckon hoping for a Lynch revival now is far fetched and counter productive.Bit like the reliance on Richo that never got us a flag.

Not sure he can just forget about wins considering he only has 2 from 23 games so far. We could double our wins from last season and still only end up with four. That would give Yze a 13% win rate the from two season. New coaches don’t last long with that kind of record.

For his own survival, Yze needs wins and plenty of them.

Disagree

Wins are not Yze’s primary measure - it’s all about context

In 2025 I would much prefer an upward trend in form and system and competitiveness
Even pushing our percentage to closer to 100 (compared to this years miserable 60 odd) would be a better indicator than wins

And personally I’d be rapt to just see genuine progress with our emerging players - hence the green shoots mentioned by gold1

We and Yze can call it a successful season without your “plenty” of wins - although I’d be rapt if we did snag a few bonus wins along the way

More I think about it the more I see 24 as a great stepping stone for the club , Yze got a look around , everything that could go wrong went wrong.

New CEO

New list

Somewhat new Prez

Funny as it sounds but the retirement of the greatest Tiger of all time , gives this fresh group the opportunity to write their own dynasty without the constant media focus on Dusty .

Not sure if any of the “ new” has what it takes , however love the fact “ we” start this new journey together
