Alex Rance

Rance was superman incredible no doubt. He had a dodgy 2018 Prelim no doubt.
We've won 2 flags without him no doubt. We've moved on (well, most) no doubt.

and that's the end of my crap rap ..

Rance was the full package when Jake Stringer was still a parcel in his mother’s letter box
He was the best in defence. He will turn 31 on 09/10, he would need to play a few games in the VFL before call up. Then it's another ball game. Could be useful next year, but after that how long?

If he does suit up for the Druggies it makes it fairly clear that some bad blood exists between him and Tigerland for whatever reason?

How does that make it clear? The Bombers are drafting in randoms from all over the place as they don't have enough players in Queensland to play their VFL game. Rance is doing a favour for a mate in Ben Rutton. Not sure why that somehow means something went on when he left Richmond? Talk about adding 2+2 and getting 5,123,458.

Rance was fantastic for us. A joy to watch. He's a tiger premiership legend. But it's all in the past.
Hope he has an absolute ball at that scumbag club and gets out of it whatever he's after.

Sad to see.
He left so much on the table we were always left wondering.
If he makes a comeback with the dons than it's a slap in the face.
As it stands he is a tiger premiership hero but sadly that will no doubt change should he engage with the bombers.

Honestly why?
He's been out of the game for two years if he plays at AFL level again. Not 6 months.
The world has changed dramatically in that time & so may have Alex.
I seriously don't understand why any Richmond supporter could have any malice towards a player who gave absolutely everything to the Richmond Footy Club for 10 seasons & was a key ingredient in a drought breaking flag.

Makes me wonder why didn’t he choose RFC VFL side?
He’s in Queensland on holidays where the game happens to be and it’s a bloody practice game.
Settle down everyone. He hasn’t even trained with them. He’s making up numbers

Geez, some nonsense on this thread. Hang your heads in shame.

Rance - Greatest defender Leysy has seen in 40 years watching footy. Big, medium or small. RFC or not.

Champion. Immortal of our club. Wouldn't have broken the drought without him.

Could sleep with Mrs Leysy and view wouldn't change.

Well said Leysy. Part of me would just love to see him playing again, (even with the bombers) felt he was in his prime when he left.
Felt like he was covering 3 forwards in his prime. Amazing player. No player I’ve seen improved more over their career than Rancelot. Hard to split he and RIcho for me as the tigers player Ii remember most fondly. (Dusty is only thought of with AWE)

Who did those stats? Champion data?
Jenkins bent him over in 2017
Cox in 18
Walker in 17
Dixon in 18

And thats just 4 off the cuff
We’ve been through this garbage with you before. Every defender in the history of Vfl/AFL footy has been beaten from time to time and Alex was no different.

That he was a poor one on one defender is a myth. I remember Dimma saying at one stage that he thought Alex was the best one on one defender in the game.

Best defender I’ve seen at Punt Rd , the ability to stop his opponent as well as help out team mates and then repel is clearly the best I’ve seen . Don’t know if there’s been another player who could play on so many different types and beat them all. First key defender to be tagged ?

No doubt there’s been many great defenders , Scarlett, Fletcher, Dench, Silvagni etc etc, however I garuntee some may have been as good, however none would be better
